Seven Practitioners in Chizhou City, Anhui Province Illegally Sentenced to Imprisonment

(Clearwisdom.net) Seven practitioners from the Guichi District, Chizhou City, Anhui Province, including Yu Zhiwu, Wang Xiaohong and Wang Fucheng were held more than six months before they were secretly tried and illegally sentenced to imprisonment on November 30, 2011.

Mr. Yu Zhiwu, 54, was arrested on May 15, 2011 at his temporary residence. The police took away his computer, truth clarification DVDs and Falun Gong books. He was held for more than six months before being sentenced to three and a half years of imprisonment.

Ms. Wang Xiaohong, 47, was arrested at home on April 15, 2011 by officers from the local 610 Office, police department and neighborhood committee staff. They took away her computer, truth clarification DVDs and Falun Gong books. She was detained for more than seven months before being sentenced to three years and two months of imprisonment.

Mr. Wang Fucheng, 64, was arrested on the evening of April 9, 2011 as he and his wife Ms. Wang Yongkang distributed information about Falun Gong in a residential area. Their home was ransacked, and their computer, printer, Falun Gong books and informational materials were taken away. Mr. Wang was detained for more than eight months before being sentenced to three years in prison.

Ms. Wang Yongkang was sentenced to three years with five years of probation.

Ms. Ke Jinyu, 74, was arrested on May 18, 2011 as she distributed truth clarification brochures. Her home was ransacked, and she was sentenced to three years in prison with four years probation.

Mr. Wang Deqiang, 65, was arrested on May 15, 2011 as he spoke with people about Falun Gong. His home was ransacked, and he was sentenced to three years in prison with five years probation.

Ms. Sun Aihua, 66, was arrested on May 18, 2011. Her home was ransacked, and a printer and Falun Gong books were taken away. The court officials sentenced her to three years in prison with five years probation.
