“We invited the Malaysia Falun Dafa Study Center's Waist Drum Team to perform for us. They hope to display to every guest tonight the wonderful nature of Falun Dafa in the form of a traditional Chinese waist drum dance. They hope everyone will remember that the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance are good, and will help make the world more beautiful and bright.” As the host introduced the practitioners, the waist drum team in golden yellow suits appeared on stage and started to perform. They performed “Falun Dafa Is Good,” “Little Angel,” “Joy” and more pieces, and added to the joyous atmosphere of the dinner.

The dinner guests were impressed by the vigorous performance. One guest told the dinner host that he had heard that Falun Dafa is a very good cultivation practice, and was so glad to see the practitioners perform traditional waist drum dances that night. He had a thought of learning Falun Gong. Other guests said they would invite the waist drum team to perform in the future.

The dinner guests included representatives of the state fruit farmer associations in Malaysia. Among the guests were MCA of Kuala Kubu Bahru, Selangor, Selangor Exco-members, and experts and scholars from Taiwan and the U.S. The Wenzhou General Chamber of Commerce and Wenzhou City Government also sent a delegation to the dinner.

Background:

Falun Gong, also known as Falun Dafa, is a traditional Chinese spiritual discipline for mind and body. The practice involves slow, gentle movements and meditation. It is easy to learn, enjoyable to practice, and free of charge. Its guiding principles are based on Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. The practice was first introduced by Master Li Hongzhi in China in 1992 and quickly spread by word of mouth throughout China and then beyond. Its beneficial effects in uplifting an individual's physical health, spiritual well-being, and moral character, not to mention its positive influence in the community and society as a whole, are undeniable. In fact, Falun Gong is practiced by over 100 million people and has spread to 110 countries. The main written works of Falun Gong are available in over 30 languages.
