(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Zhang Yuqin and Ms. Yin Xueli, Falun Gong practitioners from Zhaodeying Township, Shenqiu County, Henan Province, were arrested on May 1, 2011, as they spoke with people about Falun Gong. They were now in the Shenqiu Detention Center. Ms. Zhang and Ms. Yin stood trial on September 21 and were informed on November 9 that Ms. Zhang had been illegally sentenced to three and a half years of forced labor, and Ms. Yin to three years.

On September 21, the authorities tried the two practitioners in court and ordered the courthouse gate guarded by armed police to prevent anyone from attending the trial.

While being detained, Ms. Zhang was subjected to different forms of persecution, and her health was poor. She could only walk with assistance and entered the courtroom with others holding her up by her arms. When her husband saw her in such poor condition, he couldn't bear it, and his blood pressure shot up. When he learned that Ms. Zhang was given a sentence of three-and-a-half years, his condition was visibly aggravated.

Ms. Zhang's family had previously demanded that Lu Feng, head of the Domestic Security Division, release her immediately. However, Lu shirked responsibility for his involvement, saying that he had not arrested Ms. Zhang and told her family to talk with officers from the Zhouying Police Station. In fact, Lu is the main perpetrator in the practitioners’ cases. He and Zhouying Police Station agents arrested the two women. He also worked with the village head to ransack the practitioners’ homes.

On November 9, Ms. Zhang and Ms. Yin were informed of their sentences and told they were to be sent to Xinxiang Women's Forced Labor Camp the next day. When he heard this, Ms. Zhang's husband was so upset that he fell into coma. Ms. Zhang's family cried and pleaded with the authorities to allow Ms. Zhang to see her husband once before she was sent to the labor camp. However, the detention center cell head Zhang Guiping refused to allow the visit, claiming he was acting on orders from his superiors.

Ms. Zhang and Ms. Yin were sent to Xinxiang Women's Forced Labor Camp on the morning of November 10, and Ms. Zhang's husband passed away that same afternoon.
