(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Ding Hongfang, from Laixi City, Shandong Province was recently subjected to an illegal court hearing at Laixi City Court after being detained for five months. The court didn’t notify Ms. Ding’s family, and forbade her from hiring an attorney to represent her.

Ms. Ding is a housewife who became fully healthy after practicing Falun Gong. At around noon on October 20, 2010, six police officers from the Laixi City Police Department broke into Ms. Ding’s home and arrested her. The police also ransacked her home and illegally confiscated many personal belongings, including a desktop computer, a printer, and cell phones.

Ms. Ding was first detained in a local detention center. Police officer Li Weikui and other officers forced Ms. Ding to have a medical examination on October 21 at Laixi City No. 2 People’s Hospital, and then transferred her to the Dashan Detention Center in Qingdao City. After reviewing the medical report however, the doctor in the detention center refused to accept Ms. Ding, due to her poor health resulting from the persecution. Li Weikui then immediately falsified a certificate from Haici Hospital in Qingdao City, which showed Ms. Ding as being in good health, and tried to send her to the detention center again. However, the doctor kept the report and still refused to accept Ms. Ding. Li Weikui had to hold Ms. Ding at the Xiagezhuang Police Station in Laixi City for the night. On the following day, Li Weikui went to the No. 2 People’s Hospital and had a fake certificate made through personal connections. He then sent Ms. Ding to the Dashan Detention Center for the third time. A different doctor was present this time. Although the doctor discerned that the report was falsified, she asked Li to sign the paper, and then accepted Ms. Ding.

Ms. Ding has been illegally detained for nearly six months, since October 2010. The guards have not allowed any family visits whatsoever. The Laixi City Court put Ms. Ding on trail without notifying her family.
