(Clearwisdom.net) Ah Zhen and her husband came from Hong Kong. They experienced two big ordeals seven years ago. Faced with life and death they were steadfast in their faith in Falun Dafa, and under the protection of Master, they overcame their difficulties. They said, “When we look back, we see that our situation was very dangerous. If it were not for Dafa, we would not be here today.”

After Losing Their Son, They Began to Cultivate Dafa

The couple, together with their son, emigrated from Hong Kong to Canada. They started a family business in Calgary. The business was doing better and better. Their 25-year-old son had a girlfriend and they were considering marriage.

At 8 p.m. one night in April 2004, their son rode his motorcycle to pick-up his girlfriend. He did not return after a few hours. At 11 p.m. they received a call from the police station informing them that their son and his girlfriend had died in an accident.

The news was devastating to Ah Zhen. She recalled, “At that moment, I was dazed. My mind was blank. I felt dizzy.” Mr. Wang also could not understand how this could happen. He felt that he had been a good person, how could something like this happen to him?

Ah Zhen’s younger brother was in Australia. Both her brother and sister-in-law were Falun Dafa practitioners. After the funeral, her sister-in-law called and said, “Come to Australia, we can help you.” In this way, Ah Zhen and her husband came to learn about this righteous practice and took turns reading the book Zhuan Falun.

After Ah Zhen read the book, she understood the meaning of life and decided to start her cultivation. Mr. Wang said that it was a rare and good book but he felt that it was too difficult to be successful in cultivation.

Ah Zhen Wholeheartedly Joins Activities to Clarify the Truth

After returning from Australia, the couple moved from Calgary to Vancouver and started their life afresh. When Ah Zhen came to Vancouver, she started to participate in the truth clarifying activities. She was very happy and many people who knew her did not know that she had just gone through a tragic loss.

For the couple to travel from their residence to the city to take part in Falun Dafa activities, they needed to take a ferry to cross the river and drive a long distance, each time it would take five to six hours.

Whenever Mr. Wang would drive his wife to the activities he did not take part in them. He said that, at the time, he still had some barriers to overcome before he would be ready to practice. For example, when the group distributed truth-clarifying materials, or had a parade, he worried that this was getting political. He felt it was really difficult to break through these notions.

Mr. Wang Experiences a Sudden Awakening

In 2009, Mr. Wang started to cough frequently. In November 2010, he received a CT scan and the chest specialist informed him that his right lung was not functioning. He had bronchitis and his lymph nodes were all swollen. The lymph nodes in his liver were also swollen. Although the doctor did not directly say that it was cancer in its late stage, Mr. Wang recalled, “At that time I felt as though I had been given a death sentence.”

On the way home from the hospital, his wife Ah Zhen said to him with tears, “This is such a good cultivation practice, such a good Master, and such a golden opportunity, why don’t you start to cultivate?”

Mr. Wang said, “At that point in time, my heart had a very strong and clear thought: I had already been introduced to the Fa, I must grab hold of this predestined relationship and not lose it again. I must go with Master. I know that this tribulation will not be easy to overcome, but I must try to overcome it. This is a test of whether I really believe in Master and Dafa and if I am really a cultivator.”

In this way, Ah Zhen and her husband persisted in studying the Fa and doing the exercises every day. Their brother and sister-in-law in Australia also came to Canada to study the Fa and exchange experiences with them.

During this period, Mr. Wang overcame many difficulties; he went through a tough period of body cleansing, but his heart was unmoved and he managed to let go of many of his attachments. To Ah Zhen this was also a very severe test. Mr. Wang said, “My wife suffered more than me.” Ah Zhen also said, “I was very clear in my mind; I didn’t look upon him as a sick person.”

Mr. Wang's Health Improves

Mr. Wang said, “I studied the Fa and assisted with doing the three things every day and my heart was getter brighter and clearer. Sometimes, I could feel that I was walking on a broken bridge that was several miles long. It was foggy ahead and I could not see the road. But Master seemed to be telling me, “Walk on. There is the Fa to rely on. You can do it.”

One night, he felt especially hot all over and woke up. He suddenly noticed that his breathing was very smooth, and no longer felt the pain in his chest. The sound in his lungs was gone. He felt very comfortable and knew that the root cause of his illness had been removed.

During the promotion period for Shen Yun this year, there were some flyers that needed to be corrected. Ah Zhen asked her husband to accompany her to the publisher and carry the flyers that needed to be corrected. Each box was about 24 kg and they collected fourteen boxes in one run. While Mr. Wang was carrying them to the car, he felt that they were very heavy; he was panting and his heart was pounding. But ten days later, when they took the corrected flyers back, the fourteen boxes were much easier to carry.

Mr. Wang became more and more enthusiastic about taking the initiative to participate in the truth clarifying activities. He went to the Chinese Embassy to send righteous thoughts. He also attended group Fa study. His health was getting better and better, his complexion was rosy and he was full of energy.

Friends and Family Members Learn Falun Gong After Hearing Mr. Wang's Story

Because the couple were always doing business, they knew many people. Mr. Wang clarified the truth about Falun Dafa to his relatives and friends. He told them about his real life experiences. His friends were surprised and felt that it was really miraculous. They asked him to teach them the exercises.

Mr. Wang said that currently there are seven to eight friends who are learning the exercises from him. They all bought Zhuan Falun to read. Among them are his friends from Hong Kong, China and his employees.
