July 6, 2011 |   By a Clearwisdom correspondent in Shandong province, China

(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Wang Hongwei and his wife Ms. Wang Lili are Falun Gong practitioners from Zhucheng City, Shandong Province. In 2009, both of them were illegally arrested after being homeless for 5 years in their own hometown in order to avoid persecution. In July 2010, Mr. Wang Hongwei was sentenced to 10 years in prison and Ms. Wang Lili was sentenced to 6 years prison. Mr. Wang Hongwei's health has declined severely as a result of the cruel persecution. Because of his poor health, he was rejected twice by Jinan Prison. Mr. Wang is currently being held in Zhucheng City's detention center.

Recently, Mr. Wang Hongwei’s family went to the detention center for a visit. They discovered that Mr. Wang Hongwei’s health had declined even further. His blood pressure was 240 ~ 250 mmHg, and he was in critical condition. Mr. Wang’s parents are over 70 years old and constantly worry about him. They asked the detention center to release Mr. Wang Hongwei on medical parole, but their request was denied. According to the detention center, Mr. Wang Hongwei is one of the key people “wanted” by the Chinese Communist Party's 610 Office.

Mr. Wang is a kindhearted person who follows the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and is being persecuted severely and cruelly. Mr. Wang Hongwei’s parents and only child are appealing to the world to help get Mr. Wang Hongwei released on medical parole.
