(Clearwisdom.net) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 27 cities or counties in 10 provinces. In this report, 23 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention and at least 33 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Shuangcheng City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Kang Changjiang and a Dozen of His Family and Friends Arrested

Mr. Kang Changjiang was arrested by officers from Wujia Town Police Station on the evening of July 24, 2011. A little after 11:00 p.m. that night, the police seized Mr. Kang and about a dozen of his family and friends who went to request his release from the Domestic Security Division of Shuangcheng Police Department.

2. [Helong City, Jilin Province] Ms. Cheng Shuzhen and Four Other Practitioners Taken to Brainwashing Center

Since July 20, 2011, officers from Bajiazi Town Domestic Security Team have arrested Ms. Cheng Shuzhen and her daughter, Mr. Liu Gaihuan, Ms. Li Yansheng, and Ms. Wu Fengxian. They were taken to the Dacheng Brainwashing Center in Yanji City.

3. [Fuyuan County, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Yu Lijun and Wife Ms. Liu Fengping Arrested

On the afternoon of July 25, 2011, Zhang Sidong and several officers from the Fuyuan County Domestic Security Team arrested Mr. Yu Lijun and his wife, Ms. Liu Fengping, from their workplace, Yanjing Photo Studio. Their current whereabouts are unknown.

4. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Ma Qiongfang Taken to Xinjin Brainwashing Center

A group of officers from the Peng Town Political and Judiciary Committee, the Peng Town Comprehensive Management Office, and the Peng Town Police Station arrested Ms. Ma Qiongfang from her home in Yangping Village, Peng Town, Shuangliu County, Chengdu City, on the afternoon of July 25, 2011. The police ransacked Ms. Ma's home and confiscated Falun Dafa books, pamphlets about Dafa, and yuan bills that had messages about Dafa written on them. Ms. Ma is being held at the Xinjin Brainwashing Center.

5. [Nanyang City, Henan Province] Mr. Wang Tao Arrested

Mr. Wang Tao, in his 30s, an employee of the Nanyang City Pharmaceutical Corporation, was arrested in February 2011 for speaking with people about Falun Gong. His whereabouts remain unknown to this day.

6. [Nanyang City, Henan Province] Mr. Zhao Sibin Detained

About a dozen officers, including Wang Feng, an officer from the Zhenping County 610 Office, and Shi Yanjun, deputy chief of Zhenping County Domestic Security Team, arrested Mr. Zhao Sibin on the afternoon of July 21, 2011. The police ransacked Mr. Zhao's home and confiscated a computer, two cellphones, and Falun Dafa books. Mr. Zhao is being held at the Zhenping County Detention Center.

7. [Guan County, Shandong Province] Mr. Shen Guiwei Arrested

Mr. Shen Guiwei was arrested by officers from the Guan County Police Station on the afternoon of July 25, 2011. His current whereabouts are unknown.

8. [Luzhou City, Sichuan Province] Ms. He Shifang Taken to Brainwashing Center

Ms. He Shifang, 75, was arrested from her home on the evening of July 13, 2011. She is being held at a brainwashing center located in the guest house of the Naxi District Sanitary Ceramics Factory.

9. [Jiayin County, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Zhang Shuling Released

On the afternoon of July 5, 2011, several officers from the Domestic Security Division of the Suihua Farm Sub-Bureau, including Zhu Zhenguo and Zhou Zihua, broke into Ms. Zhang Shuling's home. The police confiscated a computer, a printer, a wallet, Dafa books, DVDs about Falun Gong, and other personal belongings. They took Ms. Zhang to the Jiayin Farm Police Station and later to the Suihua Farm Detention Center. The police released Ms. Zhang because she was very weak.

10. [Xinxiang City, Henan Province] Mr. Chang Xiushan Arrested

Mr. Chang Xiushan from Yanjin County in Xinxiang City was arrested from his home in June 2011. The police ransacked his home and confiscated a computer, truth clarification materials, and some printing and copying equipments. Mr. Chang is still being detained.

11. [Yongxing County, Hunan Province] Ms. Cao Linfang and Several Other Practitioners Taken to Brainwashing Center

Officers from the Yongxing County 610 Office and the Domestic Security Team recently took Ms. Cao Linfang and several other practitioners to a brainwashing center located in the guest house of the Qingshanlong Reservoir in Longxingshi Town.

On their way to their hometown in Sichuan Province, Ms. He Chunfang and Mr. Tang Weixuan were arrested by officers from the Wulumuqi City Railroad Police Sub-bureau on June 23, 2011. They were sent to the Wujiaqu City Forced Labor Camp in Changji Prefecture, Xinjiang Province.

15. [Dangshan County, Anhui Province] Eight Practitioners Given Heavy Sentences

Duan Liwei, head of the Dangshan County 610 Office, and officers from Suzhou City 610 Office arrested eight practitioners in July 2009. The practitioners are still being held in the Xiao County Detention Center. The Xiao County Court tried the practitioners after the police illegally extended the practitioners' detention one and a half years. The court issued a secret document of judgment in June 2011. Mr. Li Chaodong was sentenced to eleven years in prison; Ms. Wang Yufeng was sentenced to eight years in prison; Mr. Li Xiaoping, five and a half years; Mr. Li Zhengyi, five and a half years; Ms. Jiang Jing, four and a half years; Ms. Wang Suxia, four and a half years; Ms. Li A'li, four years; Mr. Zheng Weiyuan, three years.

16. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Yan Lijun Arrested

Officers from the Southwest Airport Political and Judiciary Committee, the Comprehensive Management Office, and the Southwest Airport Police Station arrested Ms. Yan Lijun on the morning of July 26, 2011. Her current whereabouts are unknown.

17. [Chenxi County, Hunan Province] Ms. Shu Yueying Taken to Brainwashing Center

Officers from the Houtang Town Government and the Chenxi 610 Office arrested Ms. Shu Yueying on the morning of July 26, 2011. She was taken to the Huaihua Brainwashing Center.

19. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Six Practitioners Arrested

On the morning of July 27, 2011, officers from the Xinyang Road Police Station arrested six practitioners living in the Dideli Community in the Daoli District. The police also ransacked the practitioners' homes. Those arrested were Ms. Yin Laifang, Mr. Bao and his wife, Ms. Feng, Ms. Chi, and Ms. Xi.

20. [Dandong City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Gao Yulan Arrested

Officers from the Dandong City Police Department arrested Ms. Gao Yulan from her workplace on the morning of July 26, 2011. The police also ransacked her home. Her current whereabouts are unknown.

21. [Ningjin County, Hebei Province] Mr. Chen Mingfa Arrested

Mr. Chen Mingfa, who lives in Beibaidou Village, Sizhilan Town, Ningjin County, was arrested by officers from the Ningjin County 610 Office at noon on July 26, 2011.

22. [Suining City, Sichuan Province] Mr. He Xianyue Arrested

Mr. He Xianyue from Changle Town, Pengxi County, Suining City, was arrested on July 21, 2011. Mr. He's home was ransacked, and his current whereabouts are unknown.

23. [Bangbu City, Anhui Province] Ms. Zhou Hequn Injected with Unknown Drugs

Ms. Zhou Hequn from Huaiyuan County, Bangbu City, was arrested and taken to the Huaiyuan County Detention Center on November 24, 2010. On December 23, 2010, officers from the local 610 Office transferred her to the Hefei City Women's Forced Labor Camp to serve a term of one and a half years. The camp guards injected her with unknown drugs, which severely damaged her mental abilities. She wouldn't say anything when questioned by her family.

24. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Chen Yifen Arrested

On the afternoon of July 25, 2011, officers from the Datong District No. 7 Oil Production Factory Police Station and the Daqing City Police Department, broke into Ms. Chen Yifen's home in Dingjiaweizi Village, Laoshantou Town, the Datong District. The police arrested her and her current whereabouts are unknown.

25. [Lingyuan City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Yanjun Detained

On the morning of July 27, 2011, Ms. Wang Yanjun from the East Linggang District was arrested by officers from Kunduyingzi Town Police Station in Kazuo County for speaking with people about Falun Gong. She is being held in the Kazuo County Detention Center.

26. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wei Shuxiang Almost Arrested

Ms. Wei Shuxiang was reported by plainclothes officers for speaking with people about Falun Gong and handing out DVDs in Shangyecun Market on July 22, 2011. Zhang Qiang and Zhang Longshou, officers from the Domestic Security Team, took her to the gate of Chengxi Police Station. They later sent her home but first confiscated more than 20 pamphlets from her.

27. [Qi County, Henan Province] Ms. Zhang Aiye Arrested

Six officers from the Miaokou Town Police Station, including director Guan Weidong, broke into Ms. Zhang Aiye's home on the afternoon of July 13, 2011. The police arrested her and ransacked her home.

28. [Chongqing] Many Practitioners Harassed

Qijiang County 610 Office ordered personnel from the sub-district offices, comprehensive management offices, and neighborhood committees to harass many practitioners. They ordered the practitioners to sign the three statements and threatened to send them to brainwashing centers if they didn't. Among those harassed were: Ms. Hu Chaoxiu, Ms. Fang Ping, Ms. Fang Min, Ms. Huang Xuqiong, Ms. Ye Zuyu, Mr. Chen Jibi, and Ms. Zhou Jilian.

On the afternoon of July 24, 2011, Mr. Chen Dejiang was arrested by officers from local 610 Office, who had been waiting outside Mr. Chen's home. Mr. Chen was taken to a brainwashing center.
