(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 21 cities or counties in 13 provinces. In this report, eight Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 34 practitioners were illegally arrested.
1. [Diaobingshan City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Zhang Daobao Persecuted
Mr. Zhang Daobao from Diaobingshan has been held in 6th Ward, Dongling Prison, Shenyang for over four years. He has been persecuted to the point where he could not take in any food and his life is in danger.

2. [Songyuan City, Jilin Province] Mr. Wei Senyan's Home Ransacked
Officers, including the director of the Baiyilaga Township Police Station in Songyuan, ransacked Mr. Wei Senyan's home at Hongguang'nongchang Village, Baiyilaga, Songyuan on the morning of August 18, 2011. They confiscated Falun Gong books and photos of Falun Gong's founder.
3. [Dongliao County, Jilin Province] Teacher Mr. Bai Xiufeng Arrested
Mr. Bai Xiufeng, a teacher from Anshi, Dongliao was arrested and cruelly beaten by Li Jing and other officers on August 16, 2011.
4. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Ms. Liu Guifang Arrested
Ms. Liu Guifang from Jilin City is 78 years old. She was taken to the Fengman Police Station while putting up posters about Falun Gong on August 10, 2011. Officers ransacked her home and took away copies of Zhuan Falun, printouts of the Falun Gong founder's new articles, Falun Gong lecture tape cassettes, brochures and posters.

Mr. Wang Hongwu and another villager from Liangyimen Village, Huajia Township, Nongan went to Changchun City to appeal on July 31, 2011. Mr. Wang was detained and his home was ransacked. They took away his Falun Gong books, Shen Yun DVDs, Minghui Weekly magazine and other items.

7. [Nongan County, Jilin Province] Over Ten Practitioners Including Ms. Zhao Chunxia Arrested
Authorities from the Nongan Police Department and Domestic Security Division held a brainwashing session in Zhongying Hotel again in early August of 2011. Over ten practitioners, including Ms. Zhao Chunxia, Ms. Sui Xiumei and Ms. Cun Youyun, were taken to the session.
8. [Fengcheng City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Jiao Lin Sent to Jianyucheng Prison in Shenyang City
Ms. Jiao Lin from Fengcheng was sentenced to three years in prison by Fengcheng Court on the morning of August 16, 2011. She was taken to Jianyucheng Prison in Shenyang by Deputy Director Wang Changchun and other officers from the Fengcheng Detention Center.
9. [Guantao County, Hebei Province] Additional Information about the Persecution of Hao Yuzhi
Ms. Hao Yuzhi from Guantao was arrested by local officers on the afternoon of July 16, 2011. Officers from the Guantao Domestic Security Division took Falun Gong books, DVDs and other items from Ms. Hao's home.
10. [Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Zhang Bingfang Arrested
Ms. Zhang Bingfang from Lishui, Nanjing was arrested by officers from Liyang on August 1, 2011 while explaining the facts about Falun Gong in Liyang, Changzhou. She was taken to Changzhou and detained there for 15 days. Ms. Zhang is now being held in the Baima Brainwashing Center.
11. [Xiong County, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhang Xiaochun Arrested
Ms. Zhang Xiaochun from Xiong County was arrested by plainclothes officers from the Domestic Security Division on the morning of August 18, 2011 while walking with her bike at a farmers market. Ms. Zhang is now being held in the Xiong Police Department's Domestic Security Division.

12. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Yufeng Arrested
Ms. Liu Yufeng from Zhifu, Yantai was arrested by a group of unidentified people at Huaxin'jiayuan in Xingfunan Road on August 17, 2011. Her home was also ransacked.
13. [Yongkang City, Zhejiang Province] Ms. Shi Mengqiao's Husband Arrested
Ms. Shi Mengqiao was severely persecuted in the Jinhua Brainwashing Center. Her husband Mr. Tie Jun went to Tangxian Town government with their 4-year-old child, asking to visit his wife. However, they were arrested there. Mr. Tie Jun was sent to the Jinhua Brainwashing Center. Their child's whereabouts are unknown.
14. [Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Wang Baozhi Sentenced to Forced Labor
Ms. Wang Baozhi from the Baixia District, Nanjing was sentenced to a year of forced labor and recently was sent to the Judong Women's Forced Labor Camp in Jiangsu.
15. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia] Three Practitioners from Aohan Banner Arrested
Mr. Yun Haisen and Ms. Feng Guoru from Aohan Banner, Chifeng, Inner Mongolia were arrested by Wu Jianzhong and other officers from Aohan Banner Police Department Domestic Security Division on August 12, 2011. After that, Gong Chuanxing and Yang Jianzhong from the Domestic Security Division barged into Ms. Li Shuwen's home, arrested Ms. Li, and took her Falun Gong books and other items. Mr. Yun, Ms. Feng and Ms. Li were sent to the Aohan Banner Detention Center.
16. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Mr. Li You's Term of Forced Labor Extended
Mr. Li You from Changchun was sent to the Heizuizi Forced Labor Camp on July 27, 2010 for a term of one year. In the camp, chief Liu Lianying shocked Mr. Liu with electric batons and placed him into solitary confinement. Recently, the camp authorities extended Mr. Li's term because he sang a Falun Gong song in the camp.
17. [Zhenjiang City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Feng Yunxia Arrested
Ms. Feng Yunxia from Zhenjiang, Jiangsu is 61 years old. She was arrested at home by officers from the Dashikou Police Station on July 15, 2010. Her home was ransacked, and her computer, printer, Falun Gong books and other items were taken. Ms. Feng is now being held in the Zhenjiang No.1 Detention Center.

18. [Chongqing] Ms. Chen Changqiong from Disease Control Center in the Yubei District Arrested
Ms. Chen Changqiong, an accountant from the Disease Control Center in Yubei District, Chongqing, was arrested at her workplace by staff from the Cuiyun Neighborhood Comprehensive Administrative Office in the Yubei District and officers from the police station. She was taken to the Lushancun Brainwashing Center in the Yubei District.
19. [Tianshui City, Gansu Province] Mr. Zhao Fuqiang and Ms. Wang Meiying Arrested
Mr. Zhao Fuqiang and Ms. Wang Meiying from Zhangjiachuan County, Tianshui went to Wuying Township on the evening of August 10, 2011 to distribute materials explaining the facts about Falun Gong. Villagers who did not understand the truth blocked them and took them to the local police station. Mr. Zhao and Ms. Wang are now being held in the Qinan County Detention Center. The next day, officers from Longcheng Township Police Station in Qinan, Tianshui ransacked Mr. Zhao's home and took his recorder, Falun Gong books, informational DVDs about Falun Gong and other items. Photos of Falun Gong founder were also taken from Ms. Wang's home the same day.

20. [Yanbian, Jilin Province] Ms. Yue Jingjie and Others Arrested
Ms. Zheng Zhihui from Erdaobaihe Town, Yanbian, Jilin was arrested at home around August 9, 2011.
Ms. Yue Jingjie and Ms. Wang Guiqin (71 years old) were taken to the brainwashing center at Tiebei Primary School, Erdaobaihe Town on August 13 and 14 by agents from Jilin Province 610 Office; Lengjing, deputy director of Changbaishan Administrative Committee Organization Department; and Liu Wenge from Baiheju Police Department Domestic Security Division.
Over ten officers, including Liu Wenge from the Domestic Security Division, barged into Mr. Li Leyou's home on the morning of August 13. They arrested Mr. Li and took away his laptop computer, printer, DVD/CD burner, Falun Gong books, informational materials about Falun Gong and other items.
21. [Huainan City, Anhui Province] Mr. Pan Shugeng Arrested
Riding in an ambulance from Dongfang Hospital in Huainan, agents from the Huainan 610 Office, the Xiejiaji District Political and Legislative Committee and 610 Office came to Mr. Pan Shugeng's home in Xinhua No. 2 Village on the morning of August 17, 2011. In order to hide their intentions, they pretended that they were rescuing a sick person and arrested Mr. Pan Shugeng, who is in his seventies. They took Mr. Pan to a brainwashing session in the guesthouse of Huainan Polytechnic University.

22. [Anlu City, Hubei Province] Ms. Li Xianrong Persecuted
Ms. Li Xianrong from Anlu was arrested by Chen Xudong and other officers on the morning of August 16, 2011. Mr. Li's home was ransacked and her Falun Gong books, money bills written on with messages about Falun Gong and other items were taken away. Mr. Li was released the same afternoon.
23. [Gaotang County, Shandong Province] Ms. Xiaoli Held in the Liaocheng City Detention Center
Ms. Xiaoli from Gaotang was arrested around July 20, 2011. She is now being held in the Liaocheng City Detention Center.

24. [Dingzhou City, Hebei Province] Additional Information about the Arrest of Ms. Xiang Cirong
Ms. Xiang Cirong from Dingzhou was arrested by officers from the Dingzhou Police Department and Liuzao Town Police Station on August 9, 2011. She is now being held in the Dingzhou Detention Center. Before her arrest, those officers barged into her home and took away her computer, TV, bike, DVD player, printer, Falun Gong books and other items. Ms. Xiang's husband Mr. Sun Ruixi managed to escape and has been moving from place to place in order to avoid persecution.

25. [Nongan County, Jilin Province] Mr. Feng Shiguang and Others Arrested
Officers from the Gucheng Police Station in Nongan barged into Mr. Feng Shiguang's home and arrested him on August 7, 2011. His whereabouts remain unknown.
On August 10, Officers from Nongan Police Department arrested Ms. Zhao Xiufen, Ms. Jia Guizhi and Ms. Wen Shuying, who were talking to people about Falun Gong. They managed to leave the police department the next day.
Ms. Zhao Xiufen and her husband (not a practitioner) clarified the truth to officers and asked them to return the money that they had taken from practitioners. Ms. Zhao and her husband were detained, and they are now being held in the Nongan County Detention Center.
On the afternoon of August 15, plainclothes officers from Nongan Police Department arrested Ms. Ma Shuying. Ms. Ma is now being held in the Nongan County Detention Center.
