Sept. 25, 2011 |   By a Clearwisdom correspondent from Jiangxi Province, China

(Clearwisdom.net) Thirteen Falun Gong practitioners, including practitioners from Jiujiang City and Jiujiang County, were recently arrested by officers from the Ruichang City Police Department in Jiangxi Province.

Ms. Zhu Xiaomei and Liu Juzhen were arrested by officers from the law enforcement division and Sanyanqiao Police Station on May 21, 2011, while they were out posting truth-clarification materials about Falun Gong. Their homes were ransacked and their families were forced to pay 10,000 yuan each in cash. The practitioners were released on June 5, but were put under surveillance at their home.

Mr. Liang Zhong from Wuliqiao in Ruichang was arrested by officers from Saihu Police Station on May 31, when he was seen talking to people about Falun Gong. The police tried to extort money from his family, but did not succeed. They then tried to force Mr. Liang to give them the names of other practitioners that he knew, but he refused. Mr. Liang Zhong was taken to a forced labor camp on June 10, and was later transferred to the Majialong Forced Labor Camp in Jiujiang.

On the evening of June 12, He Shengxiang, Zhu Haixia and Ms. Shi Lipin from Jiujiang County were arrested by officers Tan Jun, Ding Xiao and Cao Dayong from Yicheng Police Station, while they were out posting truth-clarification materials in Ruichang. Practitioner Mr. Huang Xianfa, together with the family members of those arrested, went to the police station on June 13 to demand their release. The officers beat Mr. Huang, dragged him to the second floor of the police station and detained him. Ms. Shi Lipin's husband and son were handcuffed and taken to Ruichang Detention Center.

Han Yuming from Lushan, Deng Xiaoyan from Jiujiang, Zhang Daidi, Zhou Meili, Ms. Rao Fenglan and Huang Zhengming from Jiujiang were arrested by officers from Ruichang Police Department at around 10 p.m. on the evening of July 11, while they were out posting truth-clarification materials.

Ms. Rao Fenglan was force-fed and severely tortured while she was in detention, and her family members could not recognize her in the photos taken of her. When they asked an officer about her whereabouts, the officer responded coldly, “We know where she is, but we won't let you know.”
