Experience Sharing of Truth-clarification in Class

(Clearwisdom.net) As the new semester started at the end of August 2010, I came to know more than 300 new students in five classes. Unlike before, in which my students normally stay with me for a year, these students will only stay with me for less than four months. I understood that I have the responsibility to have them understand the truth.

The course I teach is called Political Life, and the content is supposed to include singing praises of the Communist Party. It provided just the right conditions for me to expose the evil CCP and clarify the facts about Falun Gong. I made it clear on the first day of class that, because this course is not included in the College Entrance Exam, I will not follow the textbooks, and most likely I will go with the flow of my thoughts.

The first chapter was “People's Democratic Dictatorship”. Combining the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party, I exposed how many disasters the evil CCP has brought to people through its class struggles. The students were especially interested when I talked about the “June 4” student movement. Two weeks later, I heard the students murmuring “must be Falun Gong,” meaning I must be practicing Falun Gong.

Some students were pretty sure about my practicing Falun Gong, so they directly asked me about the “Tiananmen Self-immolation”. I analyzed the doubts around the “self-immolation,” and the students were all convinced.

I tell the students in every class to remember “Falun Dafa is good,” and persuade them to quit the Communist Youth League and Young Pioneers. Some students wrote the declaration on notes immediately and gave it to me in secret, but some showed no interest at all. Students in two classes listened very attentively, but none of them quit the Youth League or the Young Pioneers.

I shared my experience with my study group at night and looked within. I felt I had an attachment to results. Later on a student told me I had not explained things thoroughly enough. I compared my efforts with previous years and realized I did not put as much effort as I used to and did not prepare well.

I decided to make up where I fell short, so I brought truth-clarification materials to class and let the students pass them around. It turned out very good, and some students asked me for the DVD on the Nine Commentaries to watch.

In March 2011, the second semester of the school year started, and I was assigned to teach five classes again. As soon as I came across the truth of the evil Communist Party, there were students in each class causing trouble for me, but I did not take it seriously.

In late March, I talked about Shen Yun to the students. Many students showed interest. I figured I needed more than 100 Shen Yun disks for five classes. At the same time, my husband (also a practitioner) asked me to help him locate practitioners to write articles for World Falun Dafa Day, and to put off the project of giving out Shen Yun disks. I did not listen to him and single-mindedly wanted my students to watch Shen Yun. I asked a practitioner to help me make over 100 Shen Yun disks, and gave them to the students. I encountered interference while giving away the last batch of the disks because of one student, and I encountered complications during the process. The next day at noon, the principle called me to his office, a deputy director from the City Board of Education was already there. The deputy director said that he was sent to investigate because some parents had reported that I talked about Falun Gong in class and gave the students disks. Then he started to say something bad about Dafa. I have always been disgusted at talking with Party officials, therefore, I was completely silent while he was talking. The deputy director and the principle threatened me with my job. I thought I would never want to clarify the facts in class in the future.

During the Qingming Holiday that was immediately following, I stayed home and looked within. I had been smoothly clarifying the facts in class for nearly ten years until now. Because I did not listen to my fellow practitioners but tried to validate myself, I incurred the persecution on myself. I cleansed my thoughts and sent forth righteous thoughts to negate the persecution. Later, several coordinators found out about the matter and criticized me for not working with the one body.

Afterward, a fellow practitioner told me some students destroyed the disk I gave them, and told me I did not know how to clarify the facts in class well. I felt defeated and was very depressed. I would not listen to any practitioner who tried to share understandings with me. The situation lasted for two weeks, during which time my heart was very painful.

One day in studying “Teaching the Fa at the Western U.S. International Fa Conference [2/19/2005],” I suddenly understood that I am in the leading role in this period, and I should decide everything happening in my workplace. I calmed down and sent forth righteous thoughts, “No matter what shortcomings I have, the evil is not worthy of testing me. I only take the path Master arranged for me, I will not take the path arranged by the old forces. I absolutely will not allow anything that destroys sentient beings to happen.”

In my next class, I stood tall in front of my students and told them what had happened. I said, “Your teacher has done nothing wrong. Her conscience urged her to tell you the truth, and it is her responsibility as a teacher.” Some students came up to me asking for the truth and I helped some quit the Youth League and Young Pioneers.

A new semester has started. I have three classes in addition to the five classes I had last semester. During the first week, Master gave me confidence in saving sentient beings, and allowed me to run into a former student. The student told me, in the morning of his College Entrance Exam, he remembered my words and chanted ‘Falun Dafa is good’ repeatedly. As it turned out, he did extremely well in the exam. He said, “My good luck comes from the chanting of ‘Falun Dafa is good.’” He later quit the Youth League.

I’ve walked the path of saving sentient beings in class for nearly ten years. Compared to the previous years, I found I have fallen short during the past couple of years. I lacked compassion and worked in the manner of formality. Master said,

“With those people that you run into by chance, who you run into in daily life, and the people you run into at work, you should all clarify the truth to them. Even when in your daily life you pass by people so quickly that you don't have a chance to talk to them, you should still leave them with your compassion and kindness. Don't lose those who should be saved, especially those with predestined connections.” (“Teaching the Fa at the 2003 Atlanta Fa Conference”) (verified)

In the past, I was able to do what Master requires us to do. I could make use of every environment in my daily life to clarify the facts and persuade many people to quit the Party and its affiliated organizations. I would not lose anyone with a predestined connection. But now, I sometimes do not bother to open my mouth, therefore, I have missed many opportunities for those with a predestined connection to be saved. In the past, I was able to treat the trouble-making students with compassion. I remember I had a student who would attack Master as soon as I started clarifying the facts. My thoughts of saving him were very simple: I stayed calm and kept sending forth righteous thoughts to him, and later on when he saw other students quitting the Youth League, he came to me and quit the Youth League too with my help. Now I have a student in a similar situation. However, as soon as he starts attacking Dafa, I became anxious, almost pushing him to the wrong side. It was not until these days while I’m writing this article that I have adjusted my mindset and have turned him around.
