(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Gong practitioner Guo Longbin was released from Jiamusi Prison on January 24, 2011. After only nine months, he was again arrested by police in the Changping District of Beijing. The latest news is that he has been sentenced to a labor camp for two years.

Guo Longbin worked in the Farm Community of Yilan County (also known as Yilan Farm). In the eyes of everyone, Guo Longbin is a kind and strong young man. He followed Falun Gong's principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance in his daily life, but was repeatedly persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) for his beliefs. The details about his experience of persecution is still unknown. It is only known that he was sentenced to prison at some point in Beijing, and later he was transferred to Jiamusi Prison. There he was persecuted by the No. 3 Team of the prison police. He was finally released on January 24, 2011.

The 610 Office and Jiamusi Prison make trouble on the day of Guo's release

January 24, 2011, was the day when Guo Longbin completed his unlawful prison sentence. His family was told by the Jiamusi Prison that they must be accompanied by a local 610 Office agent when they picked up Mr. Guo.

In the early morning of that day, Guo Longbin’s brother, a 610 Office agent from Yilan Farm and some of Mr. Guo's friends went together to Jiamusi Prison. The 610 Office agent prepared many paper files to be signed by various prison departments. When Guo Longbin’s friends requested to see those files, they were rejected.

They waited for a long time until finally seeing Guo Longbin walk out of the prison. On that day, around 30 others were released, among which only Mr. Guo was a Falun Gong practitioner. The prison police singled out Guo Longbin and took him to one side. A group of prison police and 610 Office agents surrounded Guo Longbin and forced him to sign a so-called release certificate, which contained slander about Falun Gong. Guo Longbin refused to comply with this unreasonable demand. The police became furious. They kept smashing the table and threatening Guo Longbin about the consequences of not signing. In the end, the 610 Office agents could not obtain Guo Longbin’s signature and had to sign it themselves. After that, they took Guo Longbin to another room to search his body.

Guo Longbin’s friends had been waiting for this day for a long time. They planned to take him to a nice restaurant to celebrate his release. However, Jiamusi prison repeatedly threatened Guo Longbin that he must go with the local 610 Office agent. They declared that Guo Longbin was not mentally stable (i.e. Guo Longbin had not given up practicing Falun Gong). Guo Longbin’s friends kept trying to negotiate, but Guo Longbin was still finally taken to Yilan by the 610 Office agent.

Arrested and sentenced to labor camp again 9 months after release

Nine months later, on the afternoon of October 23, 2011, Niu Xiaobiao and other officers from Dongxiaokou branch police station at Changping District of Beijing sneaked into Room 502, Building 20, West 2 District of Beijing Tiantong Community. They didn’t wear uniforms and hid their police car. With such a gangster’s means, they arrested the house owner, Song Zhao, 31, resident of Henan, a CEO assistant of a foreign company (involved with English translation). Others arrested included: 1) Feng Qingdong, 31, resident of Liaoning, a Thomson Reuters employee (involved with Japanese translation); 2) Yao Yuanying, female, 26, a Ph.D candidate from Beijing Normal University; 3) Sun Lixin, female, 37, a painter; 4) Chunyu Chang, female, 37, resident of Beijing; 5) Li Ziming, resident of Zhangjiakou City of Hebei; 6) Guo Longbin, the subject of this article, resident of Heilongjiang province and 7) an unknown Falun Gong practitioner from Shandong province.

The police impounded the key to Room 502 and conducted a search. It is not known how many items they confiscated. As mentioned before, when arresting these Falun Gong practitioners, these officers did not wear uniforms and did not park the police car downstairs. It’s obvious that they themselves knew that they were conducting an unlawful act.

October 24, these practitioners were transferred to Beijing Changping Detention Center located at Liuchun Town. The police abolished their family visitation rights. The police declared that this case was to be taken charge by the Bejing police station. Later, these eight practitioners were transferred to Changping Penitentiary Center. The actual detention place didn’t change, but the department in charge changed.

The police arbitrarily arrested and detained citizens for no reason. In addition, after being arrested, the police did not inform the Falun Gong practitioners’ families or employers. Their families worried about them and their employers did not know their whereabouts. After asking around, it was not until 26th that they found out that these practitioners had been searched, arrested and detained.

When their family finally found Liu Gang, a lieutenant of the National Security Team of Changping police station, they asked why he had arrested these practitioners. Gang Liu could not give any reason for their arrest. He pulled a parent aside, and said, “It's no big deal, you can go home.” The parent asked when Liu Gang would release them. Liu Gang replied that this would depend on their “attitude” (i.e. whether they would give up their belief in Falun Gong). During the detention period, the police stopped the families from visiting these practitioners and from hiring lawyers. They even threatened the Beijing lawyers that anyone taking a Falun Gong case would lose their license. They also declared they would put all these Falun Gong practitioners into labor camps.

At present, all these Falun Gong practitioners are still detained. They are not allowed to meet with their families or lawyers. The latest news is that Guo Longbin has already been sentenced to two years in a labor camp.
