(Clearwisdom.net) Since the Chinese communist regime launched the persecution against Falun Gong, there have been several thousand Falun Gong practitioners detained at Fangqiang Forced Labor Camp in Yancheng City, Jiangsu Province. Several practitioners have been tortured to death, and dozens have died soon after being sent home from the labor camp.

Daily Torture

At this labor camp, the guards' bonuses and promotions are tied to how many practitioners they can force to give up Falun Gong. Because of this, guards Zhu Kanglin, Pan Yuhua, and others often abuse and torture practitioners.

They choose the most vicious prisoners to strictly monitor practitioners, and practitioners are not allowed to talk to each other. Guards Pan Yuhua, Gu Yuli and Zhang Jie have instigated prisoners to force practitioners to give up their belief in Falun Gong. To have their detention terms shortened, the prisoners punch and kick practitioners, and abuse them by other means.

For example, practitioner Yang Hanzheng from Zhenjiang City was forced by prisoners to sit on a tiny stool without moving from morning till after 11 p.m. He was abused this way often over a course of two years.

Torture in the “Recovery Building”

In the “recovery building” of Fangqiang Forced Labor Camp, several guards, including Zhu Kanglin and Pan Yuhua, have been specifically trained to conduct brainwashing.

Practitioners are only allowed to sleep for one or two hours a day. When they are very sleepy and can no longer concentrate, the guards start to ask questions continuously and gauge practitioners' reactions; then they try to force practitioners to give up their belief by various means. This can last anywhere from a few days to several months.

Practitioner Yan Hanzheng was deprived of sleep for 40 days. Guards Wei Honghui, Zhu Kanglin and Pan Yuhua brutally beat him until he was unconscious on 10 different occasions.

Practitioner Guo Aiping's blood pressure increased dramatically due to torture.

In December 2008, the labor camp sent steadfast practitioners to the “recovery building” one after another. Instigated by the guards, a prisoner named Yan Ping insulted and brutally beat practitioners.

Currently, there are still many practitioners detained at Fangqiang Forced Labor Camp. The guards have tortured practitioners secretly, as they do not allow practitioners to see each other. Every year, they also force practitioners to undergo a physical check-up at a hospital, most likely identifying potential candidates for live organ harvesting.

The labor camp has formed the No.2 Division specifically to persecute practitioners. Several practitioners have been tortured to death.
