(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Li Wendong, formerly employed in the Department of Transportation at Tangshan Iron & Steel Company, was most recently arrested on February 25, 2012. Officers from the Shuidong Police Station participated in the arrest. His home was ransacked. He is currently in the Tangshan No.1 Detention Center.
This is the second time Mr. Li has been illegally arrested. He was previously subjected to three years of forced labor between 2000 and 2003. He was physically abused and tortured in the Hehuakeng Forced Labor Camp and fired from his job.
After he was released from the forced labor camp, Mr. Li continued to work at the Tangshan Iron & Steel Company, but only as a temporary employee. He asked many times to be reinstated in his former position, but his employers refused to allow it.
The following is an account of the persecution Mr. Li Wendong was subjected to in the Hehuakeng Forced Labor Camp between 2000 and 2003.
When he was sent to the forced labor camp, he was first held in the strictly controlled team of Division No.6. He was forced to sit on a small wooden stool (20 cm high, 30 cm long, about 10 cm wide) for a month, and his buttocks festered by the end of the month. He was made to sit in a fixed position. If he didn't meet the standard, the guard on duty would beat him with a bench. He was only given ten minutes for each meal and only allowed to use the restroom twice a day.
Mr. Li was then transferred to Division No.5 to do hard labor, mainly wrapping “sanitary” chopsticks. If he could not complete his quota in the daytime, he had to work until 10:00 p.m. He was forced to do this intensive labor for six months from January to June in 2001.
Torture Reenactment: Killer rope
In May 2001, several guards and criminals used a torture technique called the "killer rope"(1) nine times on Mr. Li from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and then forced him to sit on the small stool.
Torture Re-enactment: Shocked with electric batons
In June 2001, Mr. Li was transferred to the strict control team, where he was made to watch video programs slandering Falun Dafa every day. Division No.4 guard Zhang Xiaofeng shocked him with an electric baton for about 15 minutes on the top of his head, his chest, neck, and other parts of his body. After an hour, Mr. Li's neck developed a swelling as big as a steamed bun, on which erupted many corn-sized blisters. The blisters didn't disappear until about two weeks later, leaving scars on his neck.
Years of persecution have done great harm to Mr. Li both physically and mentally. Unfortunately, he was arrested again on February 25 this year. According to an insider, the police officers brutally beat him, and his face was bruised. He is currently in the Tangshan City No.1 Detention Center.

Note:
(1)Killer Rope: The rope is first looped around the neck, and both ends are tucked underneath the victim's armpits. The rope is then wrapped around the arms several times, and then the two ends brought together in the back and tied off. Finally the knot is lifted straight up, causing excruciating pain in the wrists, arms, shoulders, and the neck.
