(Minghui.org) Ms. Zhong Shulan, 64, was arrested at around 10 p.m. on June 12, 2012 when she was seen talking to people about Falun Gong in a large night market. Her brother Mr. Zhong Chongzeng, 60, and Ms. Wang Yan, in her fifties, were with her at the time and were also arrested. They were taken to the Xiguan Police Station.

Mr. Zhong from Qingdao City was recovering from cerebral thrombosis and was still unable to talk clearly when he went to visit his sister, whose husband had passed away last year.

Du Baofeng, the deputy head of Xiguan Police Station, led of group of officers and broke into Ms. Zhong's home the following morning. They confiscated some cash and many of her personal belongings. That afternoon, the three practitioners were taken to Gaomi Detention Center.

When Ms. Zhong's family members heard of the arrests, they went to Xiguan Police Station on June 14 to demand their release. Mr. Zhong's daughter was very worried about her father's illness, and she came all the way from Qingdao to Gaomi to see him.

The police told the family members that the practitioners had been taken to the Gaomi Detention Center. When they arrived at the detention center, the officials there told them that the police station was in charge of case, and they would not allow them to see the practitioners.

Qin Yuemei, approximately 46 years old, was arrested at her home on February 29, 2012, by officers from Heya Police Station.

Ms. Li Yueqin, 57, from Sanguanmiao village, Kangzhuangzhen in Gaomi, was arrested when she was reported to the authorities for talking to a woman about Falun Gong.

Ms. Guo Mingjuan, 55, from Pingdu City was arrested at her rented home in Gaomi.
