Three Police Chiefs Make the Same Choice

Nov. 14, 2013 |   By a Dafa practitioner in Northwest China

(Minghui.org) During the 14-year-long ongoing persecution of Falun Dafa, so many police have been involved in it, especially those working in the Domestic Security Divisions and local police stations. Many of them still have a conscience, but if they cannot awaken to the truth and continue to be used by the CCP, they may be destroyed.

I sincerely hope that police officers learn the truth about Falun Gong, listen to own their conscience, and treat Dafa practitioners kindly. That will mean that they have chosen a bright future for themselves.

The following three Domestic Security police chiefs all made the same choice.

First Chief: “Master, More Dear Than Father”

In June 2000, I was caught and taken back to my hometown when I was on my way to Beijing to appeal for justice for Falun Gong. I was held in a detention center. During the interrogations, I calmly told the police with kindness and compassion about the wonderfulness of Falun Dafa and our Master as well as about the violence I experienced at the hands of the police after they arrested me.

They listened quietly and asked me a lot of questions. Each interrogation would last over an hour. While I was talking, they would take notes on what I said. At the end, one officer (a Domestic Security Division head) showed me his notes to verify if what he had written down was correct. I always checked the notes carefully.

I saw that he used the characters for “shi fu” that are used to address someone who gives instructions in any industrial or business trade instead of the characters for “shi fu” that are a polite form of address to a master who offers guidance in one's spiritual growth. So I told him to change the character for “fu” meaning "supervisor" to "fu" meaning "father." He looked at me in surprise and asked, “Do you mean to use the character for 'father'?” I said that was correct. He said, “Do you mean you feel your Master is dearer to you than your father?” I said, “You cannot make such a comparison. My parents gave me a flesh body, but Master has given me everything I have as a whole person.” He smiled at me enviously and said quietly, “Master, even dearer than father.”

A month later, he transferred to work somewhere else. Later I heard from a fellow practitioner that a month before he interrogated me, this same police chief beat her brutally.

Second Chief: “Yes , I Quit , I Quit , I Quit !”

I was arrested again in early February 2010. While I was in the Domestic Security Division office, I kept quiet at first and focused on sending righteous thoughts. When I saw the opportunity was right, I started to clarify the facts to the police, telling them about the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party and Shen Yun.

When I told them that Falun Dafa has spread to over 100 countries and regions, the division leader asked me in surprise, “How many?” “Over a hundred,” I said. He asked me again, “How many did you say?” I repeated, “Over 100 countries and regions.” He gestured with his hand and asked again, “So many?” I nodded.

Later I especially told him about how Falun Dafa has been embraced in Turkey. He was interested. I then told him how it was widely practiced in India and that officers in the police academies over there practice Falun Gong. I told him that kindness and honesty are universal qualities for people of all racial backgrounds and that beliefs know no national boundaries. He agreed.

Each time a police officer came in the room he told him, “You know, there are people practicing Falun Gong in over 100 countries!” The officer would look at him, then at me. I would nod and smile. A while later, I said to him, “You'd better quit the CCP.” He said repeatedly, “Yes, I quit, I quit, I quit.” Not long after, he also transferred from this position.

Third Chief: “You Are My Spiritual Boss”

The third time I was arrested was in December 2010. On the way to the detention center, a police officer said to me, “If you find me a girlfriend, I'll quit the CCP.”

I said, “You need to change yourself into a good person first. If you stop persecuting Dafa practitioners and quit the evil Party, things will improve for you. Then you won't have trouble finding a good wife, right?” He said, “I don't care about anything else, as long as I have a wife.”

I told him, “Even if you have a wife, if you still participate in persecuting Dafa practitioners, still refuse to quit the CCP, and still do bad things and hold evil thoughts, do you think your wife would be nice to you? She might find someone else. Could you be truly happy?”

I then asked, “Who do you think you are? Do you think Buddha would insist on saving you? Do you think Buddha is craving to save you?” He had no reply.

The driver didn't say anything. He was someone new. He participated in arresting me and searching me, but never said a word to me. I only saw him a couple of times in the office or in the corridor. Later I learned that he was the new division leader.

He asked me, “Would you treat us the same way as you would treat your own son?” I told him, “In my eyes, you are all people to be saved.” As we drove into the detention center, I told them, “Learn more about Falun Dafa. Don't persecute Dafa disciples and leave a way out for yourself.”

Whenever I saw him, I clarified the facts to him. He asked me, “Are you here to save me?” “Yes, I've come here to save you,” I said. He smiled. Later he told me he had browsed the “Quit the CCP” website and indicated he had already quit the CCP.

From then on he started calling me “boss” when he saw me. I told him I wasn't his boss. He said, “You're my spiritual boss.” They never bothered or harassed me again while I was in the detention center.
