Ms. Zhao Yingdong Unable to Walk after Guards at Beijing Women's Forced Labor Camp Break Her Leg

Feb. 17, 2013 |   By a Minghui correspondent from Beijing, China

(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Zhao Yingdong, about 40, is from the Chaoyang District of Beijing. She is again being held in Beijing Women's Forced Labor Camp. The guards broke her leg because she would not give up her faith in Falun Dafa. As a result, she is unable to walk and has to crawl to the bathroom.

Ms. Zhao's husband is blind, and their lives have been hard. She was illegally arrested and detained in Beijing Women's Forced Labor Camp for the first time in 2009 and brutally tortured and persecuted.

Recently, because of her steadfast faith in Falun Dafa, she was reported by someone who believed the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) lies about Falun Gong. She was again arrested and sent to the labor camp.

Persecuted in Prison

In October 2009, Ms. Zhao was arrested and detained in the Fourth Brigade of the Women's Labor Camp of Beijing. She went on a hunger strike and was force-fed. Drug addict detainees were ordered to force her to drink her own urine.

-Starved and deprived of sleep

Because Ms. Zhao refused to sign the so-called guarantee statement promising to give up her practice, she was persecuted by police from the Fourth Brigade, she was not given anything to eat. She was detained in solitary and monitored by drug addict Zheng Mei, the squad leader of the second unit. Under orders from the Fourth Brigade guards, Zheng Mei and another drug addict deprived Ms. Zhao of sleep.

At mealtime, guards refused to give food to practitioners, including Ms. Zhao, who didn't sign the guarantee statement. The guards lied to the labor camp authorities by saying that the practitioners were on hunger strikes, giving the guards an excuse to force-feed them.

At that time, about three or four practitioners who didn't sign the guarantee received the same kind of inhumane treatment. One of the practitioners who was detained in solitary was force-fed for over two months.

-Not allowed to use the toilet, forced to drink her own urine

Guards ordered inmates not to let Ms. Zhao use the toilet. When she told the inmates that she couldn't hold it anymore, they told her to “solve the problem” by herself, so she took a cup and urinated in it. Inmates led by Zheng Mei and other drug addicts forced her to drink her own urine. They threatened her to not tell anyone about this.

Guards Who Participate in the Persecution

Captain of the Fourth Brigade, Du Jingbin, is an extremely evil person. In 2001, she was transferred to Beijing from another province. Using the persecution of Falun Gong as her ladder to advancement, she was able to rise to the post of deputy captain and, later, to captain of the “Storming Team” in the Beijing camp. When stationed in the “Storming Team,” Du ordered all practitioners who didn't “transform” to be detained in solitary. Incited by Du, drug addicts and other inmates ruthlessly tortured practitioners.

Du's evil deeds were once exposed in the Minghui website, and she was later demoted to deputy captain.

After the Inmate Deployment Department of Beijing was liquidated, all inmates were sent to the Beijing Women's Forced Labor Camp, and the Fourth Brigade was created. When practitioners who were sent to this camp from other districts or county detention centers, they first had to go to the Fourth Brigade, where they were taught the so-called “rules,” had their heads shaved, and were ordered to sing the evil Party's songs and recite the 23 labor camp rules. Practitioners were pressured to sign the guarantee statement to renounce their faith. In actuality, the Fourth Brigade of the Woman's Labor Camp of Beijing is an extension of the Inmate Deployment Department.

Du was transferred to the Fourth Brigade and was in charge of persecuting practitioners and other inmates detained there. All the detainees have been victimized by Du.

Also in the Fourth Brigade were two people with surnames Song and Kang (instructor), and other guards whose names are unknown.

Zhu Xiaoli, 52, captain of the Women's Labor Camp of Beijing, was a former secondary school teacher. In 1990, Zhu came to Beijing from Heilongjiang Province with her father and became a labor camp guard. In 1997, Zhu became brigade chief of the Tiantanghe Forced Labor Camp in Beijing. In August 2000, she became deputy captain there and was mainly in charge of supervising the brainwashing of inmates. Since July 2004, she has been the captain of the Women's Labor Camp of Beijing.

In an interview with the media, Zhu Xiaoli repeatedly lied to the public by saying that she used the policy of “education, persuasion, and salvation” to deal with all prisoners in a serious, scientific, and civilized manner. For decades, the evil CCP has used violence to persecute good people, while using lies to cover up their evil deeds to deceive the Chinese and the world.

Under Zhu, Beijing Woman's Labor Camp has employed a variety of methods to torture practitioners, such as forcing them to sit on a small stool for long hours, depriving them of sleep, not letting them drink water, poisoning their food, beating and shocking them with electric batons, forcing them to do slave labor, etc. Many practitioners have died, been injured or become mentally incapacitated due to the severe persecution.

Chen Li, deputy director of the camp, was transferred to Beijing from the Northeast region. She was head of the first brigade, promoted by the evil CCP for her active participation in the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners.

Beijing Women's Forced Labor Camp use vicious and hidden tactics to persecute its inmates. When practitioners and their families resist the persecution, guards who fear they will be exposed and sued for their crimes in the future threaten prisoners to lie in court. If inmates refuse to lie, they are transferred to the “Datian Division” to do hard labor.
