(Minghui.org) This morning I suddenly realized something: I have been conducting myself based on the principles of human beings and not upholding the Fa. Last night I didn't go to distribute truth clarification materials with another practitioner, because I was afraid that my family would oppose it. I was trying to maintain harmony in my family. I didn't clarify the truth openly at work, because I was afraid my supervisor would get after me and I wanted to maintain a good relationship with my supervisor and coworkers. I didn't dare to clarify the truth in front of my acquaintances and relatives, because I wanted to protect my relationship with them.

I remember Masters words,

“Throughout history the Tao School has considered the human body a small universe: It believes that the exterior of the universe is as big as its interior, and that its exterior looks the same as its interior.” (Zhuan Falun)

Master also said,

“As I've said, everything that happens today in the ordinary society is the result of Dafa disciples' thoughts.” (“Teaching the Fa at the 2002 Fa Conference in Philadelphia, U.S.A.” from Teaching the Fa at the Conference II)

My understanding is that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has a department called the “Social Stability Office” (the 610 Office). I believe that, within my dimensional field, there is also a “Social Stability Office.” The office in my dimensional field is maintaining the stability of human society and does not let go of things that are human. It attempts to keep the status quo and refuses to make breakthroughs to higher levels! I've often heard of this phrase, “people-oriented,” and the definition of “people oriented” seemed to refer to me. I have placed human things first and Master's words and the Fa second. Consequently, I have not been diligent. I've noticed that other practitioners have this mentality, too. I'm writing this article to share with everyone what I have become learned.

The CCP has made comments about “harmony, stabilization, and being people-oriented,” and I think these things come about because of the attitude of practitioners. Many times we do not pay enough attention and consider these things just human theories and principles. The existence of the CCP, the persecution, people not wanting to hear the truth, and other manifestations are all caused by what we hold in our human hearts. We are so accustomed to looking outward and not searching inward that we cannot see the true manifestation of the Fa. What we see are false images and demonic illusions, and we think they are “natural” and “inevitable.” As a result, we are unable to untie the knots in our hearts and elevate. We indulge the evil elements and allow them to take advantage, interfere with, and persecute us. Consequently, we are unable to be diligent and break through to higher levels, and so we feel negative and passive.

We should really look at our attachment to “safeguarding human principles.” We must eliminate it and send forth righteous thoughts to disintegrate the elements in other dimensions that interfere with and persecute us. We should get rid of the notion to protect ourselves. We must place the Fa first and save sentient beings while eliminating selfishness. It is important to eliminate the thoughts of maintaining the status quo and the attachment to dependency and fear. We should take the initiative to break through human notions. Not only should we cultivate ourselves well but also be aware of the one body. We should form a one body, harmonize with one another, support and coordinate with each other, and be diligent as a group. Let's reach our full potential and utilize our abilities to make a breakthrough and save sentient beings. Let's take the initiative and not be dependent on others!

Master said,

“What I would like to tell you is not whether this incident itself was right or wrong. Instead, I want to point out that this event has exposed some people. They still have not fundamentally changed their human notions, and they still perceive problems with the human mentality wherein human beings protect human beings.

“I have long noticed that a few individuals do not have the heart to safeguard Dafa, but instead intend to safeguard certain things in human society. If you were an everyday person I would have no objections—it is certainly a good thing to be a good person who safeguards human society. But now you are a cultivator. From what standpoint you view Dafa is fundamental—this is also what I want to point out to you. During your cultivation practice, I will use every means to expose all of your attachments and dig them out at their roots.

“You cannot always rely on me to bring you up to a higher level while you, yourself do not move. Only after the Fa is explicitly stated do you make a move. If it is not taught clearly, you do not move, or move backward. I cannot recognize such behavior as cultivation practice. At the crucial moment when I ask you to break away from humanness, you do not follow me. Each opportunity will not occur again. Cultivation practice is a serious matter. The distance has become greater and greater. It is extremely dangerous to add anything human to cultivation practice. In fact, it is also fine to just be a good person.
