(Minghui.org) May 13, 2013, marks the 14th anniversary of World Falun Dafa Day and the 21st anniversary of the introduction of Falun Dafa to the public by Mr. Li Hongzhi, the founder of Falun Dafa. On this occasion, Mayor Mark Mallory of the City of Cincinnati, Ohio, proclaimed May 13, 2013 as World Falun Dafa Day in the City of Cincinnati.

Proclamation City of Cincinnati

Be it proclaimed:

Whereas , City of Cincinnati joins Falun Dafa practitioners in recognizing World Falun Dafa Day on May 13, 2013; and

Whereas , Falun Dafa is a peaceful, spiritual practice rooted in traditional Chinese culture that consists of meditation, five gentle sets of exercises and moral philosophy centered on the values of truthfulness, compassion and tolerance; and

Whereas , since its public introduction in 1992 by Mr. Li Hongzhi, Falun Dafa has brought health and peace of mind to over 100 million people on six continents; and

Whereas , more men and women of United State are learning the practice and purifying their hearts, energizing their bodies, and embracing peaceful, virtuous communities; and

Whereas , Falun Dafa transcends cultural and racial boundaries and contributes to the universal dream of a peaceful, tolerant, and more compassionate society; and whereas, Falun Dafa practitioners determination and courage to stand up for truthfulness, compassion, and forbearance while facing severe persecution from the Chinese Communist Party has show the world the value of life and the preciousness of human dignity; and

Whereas , the City of Cincinnati joins Falun Dafa practitioners in recognizing their dedication to the Cincinnati community through their peaceful practice;

Now therefore, I, Mark Mallory , Mayor of the City of Cincinnati do hereby proclaim May 13, 2013 as “World Falun Dafa Day” in Cincinnati.

In witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and have caused the seal of the City of Cincinnati to be affixed this day of May in the year two thousand and thirteen.
