Liu Yuanlan, who had suffered physically and mentally at Judong Women's Forced Labor Camp, came home in mid-March 2013. Every time she talks about her experiences, her hands shake uncontrollably. In April, Liu Yuanlan went back to her hometown in Hunan Province to take care of her aging, blind father. Around May 25, when she was returning to Changzhou with her father on the train, she was arrested by Nanjing Railway police because she practices Falun Gong.

This incident seriously upset and frightened Liu Yuanlan's father. The Nanjing Railway Police sent him to reside with Liu Yuanlan's son. These police officers also took the opportunity to raid Liu Yuanlan's home.

Liu Yuanlan is from Hunan Province, and she began practicing Falun Gong when she was detained in a detention center in 2002. She had been detained in the detention center in Hunan Province for drug trafficking. After having contact with the arrested Falun Gong practitioners who were detained there, she was touched by the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. Despite the brutal persecution of Falun Gong, Liu Yuanlan decided to practice Falun Gong to become a good person.

During her three and a half years of detention, although Liu Yuanlan had not yet read the book Zhuan Falun, she always followed the principles of Truthfulness- Compassion-Forbearance. She also used every opportunity to clarify the truth about Falun Gong to prison guards and inmates using what she had learned. For this, Liu Yuanlan was hung by her handcuffed wrists, shocked with electric batons, locked up in solitary confinement, and subjected to other harsh forms of torture.

Upon being released from the prison in 2006, Liu Yuanlan went to Changzhou City where her son works. Liu Yuanlan was finally able to read Zhuan Falun, which gave her great joy.

Because she continued to clarify the truth about Falun Gong, she was arrested by the Changzhou City 610 Office in July 2007, and sentenced to four years of imprisonment. Liu Yuanlan was persecuted severely by Chinese Communist Party (CCP) personnel during her detention at the women's prison in Nanjing.

On February 15, 2012, six months after Liu Yuanlan had been released from prison, she went to the Xuejia Police Branch Station, Xibei District, Changzhou City to ask for the return of her portrait of the founder of Falun Gong, Master Li Hongzhi. She was immediately arrested again and sent to Judong Women's Forced Labor Camp.

In the labor camp, Liu Yuanlan refused the brainwashing and protested the brutal persecution of other Falun Gong practitioners. She was then persecuted brutally herself. She was detained in a two-square-meter confinement space with rubber walls for a long period of time. Police from Judong Women's Forced Labor Camp broadcast high-decibel CCP brainwashing material at her day and night. They instigated others in the prison to slap her in the face, force her to stand for long periods of time, spit in her face, and prohibited her from washing her face or brushing her teeth, etc.

Liu Yuanlan held a long hunger strike to protest the persecution of herself and other Falun Gong practitioners. In order to force Liu Yuanlan to succumb, guards at Judong Women's Forced Labor Camp repeatedly denied Liu Yuanlan's right to use the toilet. Liu Yuanlan hands and feet were tightly handcuffed, and she had to relieve herself in her pants. They took off her soiled pants and deliberately rubbed the excrement on her clean clothes and bedding. They also forcibly held her head down and forced her to lick her own excrement. They also stabbed a toothbrush into her vagina to torture her.

Police at Judong Women's Forced Labor Camp used many brutal methods to torture her, but they could not make Liu Yuanlan give up her faith in Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. The labor camp extended her sentence one more month after her one-year term ended.

Due to the accompanying circumstances of the persecution, Liu Yuanlan's 24 year-old-son had been detained in 2007 for several months. Liu Yuanlan's father suffered from the shock of his daughter's violent arrest, and from missing his daughter. Liu Yuanlan and her husband had been divorced for many years. He has throat cancer. He also suffered again and again from the CCP's harassment of himself and his son, which was a result of the persecution of Liu Yuanlan.

After practicing Falun Gong, Liu Yuanlan feels remorse deeply in her heart for her criminal past, and is determined to be a good person in accordance with the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. But just because she persisted in practicing Falun Gong to become a good person, she was repeatedly persecuted by the CCP.

We call on all kind-hearted people around the world to pay attention to Liu Yuanlan's situation, along with that of thousands of Falun Gong practitioners in China, and to help end the crimes against humanity being committed by the Chinese Communist regime.
