Aug. 17, 2013 |   By a practitioner in Ukraine

(Minghui.org) On August 1, 2013, Ukraine's Crimea TRK-555 TV reported on a Falun Gong activity held in the seaside resort city of Elushita. Practitioners there introduced Falun Dafa to both locals and tourists.

"Falun Dafa practitioners from Russia, Ukraine, and other cities held a peaceful activity in Seaside Park, in Elushita,” reported TRK-555 TV.

“Like other traditional doctrines, practicing Falun Dafa helps a person improve their spiritual morality and achieve enlightenment by elevating their character. Practitioners are required to maintain righteous thoughts, practice forbearance, and strive to treat everyone they meet with kindness.

"Falun Dafa is an ancient practice that has profound inner meaning. Its teachings are based on the nature of the universe and the practice involves cultivation of the human body.

“All of the principles of Falun Dafa are contained within the main book of Falun Gong, Zhuan Falun, written by Master Li Hongzhi. The practice also includes a set of five simple and graceful exercises, which purifies a practitioner’s body and mind, making them healthy.”

At the end of the news segment, a reporter introduced the lotus dance performed by Falun Gong practitioners.

"Although lotus flowers grow in mud, they are not stained by the mud. This analogy symbolizes the state of mind of cultivators who live in the ordinary world but are not affected by it.

“It also denotes the purity and detachment of people at higher levels or Falun Dafa practitioners who practice calmness and compassion in the face of tribulations. These lofty character traits were evident in every Falun Gong practitioners who participated in their peaceful event, held in Seaside Park.”

This is the first time since July 2012 that TRK-5 TV has reported on a Falun Dafa related activity. Back then, the news piece, Falun Dafa's Spiritual Path , was so well received, that it had the highest click-through rate of any news article ever uploaded to the TRK-5 website.
