(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioners in France gathered on September 15, 2013, at Place des Droits de l'Homme (Human Rights Plaza) in Paris, adjacent to the Eiffel Tower, to celebrate Democracy Day and call attention to the 14-year brutal persecution of Falun Gong in China.

The practitioners also demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises and exposed the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) crimes of organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners. Many people signed a petition calling for an end to this senseless human tragedy.

"I have never heard about this organ harvesting issue," said one gentleman. "It reminds me of Germany back in the 1940s, when the Nazis plundered people's property, put them in concentration camps, or outright killed them. Organ harvesting is a crime against humanity and it's definitely twisted!"

“The international community must take immediate action to stop such crimes. It's hard to believe that in this day and age, such things are still allowed to happen in this world!”

A musician, originally from the United Republic of Cameroon, spoke fluent Mandarin. He told a practitioner that he went to China to study martial arts when he was 14 years old, and that he had lived there for seven years. He has since always been concerned about China affairs.

He said that he did not know that live organ harvesting was taking place in China. After he signed the petition, he shook hands with the practitioners to thank them for informing him of the issue.

"I've never heard anything so bizarre in all of my life!" exclaimed Sarah Brane, referring to the practice of live organ harvesting. "It is such a barbaric act! I have no words to express how shocked I am. What the Party is doing is so brutal and cruel.

"Those who commit these crimes will suffer retribution in the end. Why? Because in this world there's something called 'fairness.' Even though people cannot see it, they will repay for what they've done. Justice has always existed in the world!

"We're in the twentieth century. We, as a civilization, should not tolerate such unthinkable crimes and horrific offenses against humanity. It is appalling to know that these evil acts are being perpetrated against Falun Gong practitioners.

"Falun Gong is beneficial to the mind and body. People can only improve from practicing it; they can become better people. Each nation should rethink this issue and do the right thing: help stop this persecution!"

Many people signed the petition and asked for blank forms to bring back home so that their families and friends could sign too. Those who took petition forms home said that they would send the forms directly to their local MPs. In addition, a lot of people expressed an interest in learning Falun Gong, and asked where local Dafa exercise sites were located.
