(Minghui.org) You may have heard about the recent press conference in New York held by a wealthy Chinese businessman. I would like to share some of my thoughts on this.
First of all, the teachings of Falun Gong have taught us to look inward whenever we encounter problems. What attachments and loopholes do we still have that might have caused this to happen? The reason the evil persecution took place was because we had loopholes, otherwise it wouldn't have happened. The old forces arranged for it with “grand” excuses. Otherwise, how could they possibly have carried it out?
The staged “self-immolation” that took place 13 years ago was again used last week to defame Falun Dafa in front of many reporters. What other reasons at deeper levels are behind this incident, besides the evil's attempt to interfere with the Shen Yun Performing Arts shows in New York?
My personal understanding is that there are still practitioners who do not have a clear understanding about the staged self-immolation. The minds of many ordinary people are still poisoned by the deception, and we have not paid enough attention to this fundamental fact in our truth-clarification efforts. That is why I think the old forces arranged for such a farce to take place in New York.
In mainland China, the staged self-immolation has deeply poisoned people's minds, and that's why many people still refuse to listen to the facts. Although a lot of people have understood, there are still too many who haven't, and this is reflected in the number of people who have not quit the Chinese Communist Party and its affiliated organizations . The staged self-immolation is one of the biggest obstacles that keep people from understanding the truth about Falun Gong.
In other words, we need to make greater efforts to clarify this fundamental fact. Some former practitioners that I know who have yet to return to cultivation were also deceived by the staged “self-immolation.” Many were influenced by their attachment to fear.
I don't know much about the situation outside of China, but from my experience with Chinese who do not live in China, I feel that, although they have free access to information, many still don't know this fact and are still deeply deceived.
We have been clarifying the truth for 14 years now and must continue our efforts until the arrival of Fa-rectification in the human world. We must start with ourselves and make sure that we clarify the fundamental facts well, especially the facts about the staged self-immolation. Once this knot is untied in people's hearts and the poison is eliminated, the rest is easily clarified.
This Chinese businessman traveled to the United States to hold a press conference instead of holding it in China and slandered Dafa. Could it be that the old forces have shifted the universe's waste to the United States so that Dafa practitioners outside as well as inside of China can completely eliminate it?
Falun Dafa is legal in the United States and is acknowledged and supported by the government. When a businessman from China openly slanders us at a public press conference, he has already committed the crime of defamation, and legal action should be taken against him.
