Slow Learner Becomes a Top Student

Oct. 12, 2014 |   By a Falun Gong practitioner from China

(Minghui.org) My sister's daughter skipped kindergarten, so was a little behind when she started elementary school. She had the same teacher from the first through to the third grades, and although she took extra classes, she was not able to catch up with her classmates. She was regarded as a slow learner.

However, when she took the national university entrance exam, she was the top student in liberal arts in her city and was accepted by a key university. When representatives from a famous British university visited her university, she was one of the five students chosen to meet with them!

She was admired by many parents and was a sensation in her local area. Her mother, who practiced Falun Gong, became well known as well. The deputy director of the local police department also exclaimed that she was blessed because her mother practiced Falun Gong.

When she was attending high school, one night there was a sudden downpour, and her mother went to her school to bring her an umbrella. When they came home, they found their home had been turned upside down.

Before they were able to make any sense of it, eight officers took her mother to the local police station. The next day she was transferred to a provincial detention center and held for 15 days for being a Falun Gong practitioner. The daughter packed up Master's photo and put it into her school bag. She had Master's photo with her in her school bag every day.

Her mother spent 15 difficult days under intense pressure and in a dreadful place. When her mother was released, she took Master's photo out of her school bag and gave it to her mother, who was moved to tears.

The ancients said that if you give a begging monk a bowl of rice, you will accumulate boundless virtue. It was remarkable that she protected a precious symbol of the Buddha Fa when it was being threatened. Her mother was very pleased, and she was greatly blessed.
