(Minghui.org) Practitioners in our area are speaking to people about the facts of Falun Dafa without fear of being persecuted. We believe that this is because all practitioners attend our Fa-study group.
Practitioners talk to people about Falun Dafa wherever they go, just like they had before the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) initiated its persecution of the practice on July 20 1999.
The persecution in our area used to be very severe, and I was targeted by the CCP for persecution. I was forced to leave my home for a while before the Beijing Olympic Games in 2008. The authorities illegally arrested many practitioners and ransacked four of their homes within a ten-day period. I was contemplating what we could do to help the situation.
Master said:
“Human history does not exist for [people] to take being as its final goal, nor is human history a recreation ground created for the evil to display its viciousness. I realized when studying the Fa that I should form a study group and suggested to two veteran practitioners that we use their homes. They did not hesitate and immediately agreed. I felt that everything was arranged by Master.
Practitioners organized a small-scale conference to discuss how to establish a good group Fa-study environment. Many groups were also formed in other villages.
However we faced many problems when reading the Fa. Some read it very fast and missed words or added words without realizing it. Some mispronounced the words and continued to do so even after being corrected several times.
We discussed the issue and agreed that the effort would all be in vain if we did not study the Fa well and thus would not benefit from it. We also realized that studying without a respectful and sincere mind was a waste of time.
We discussed that we needed to be considerate, compassionate and helpful to the older practitioners. By helping them with compassion, it also helped us in our cultivation and to upgrade our character.
Everyone looked within for their shortcomings, corrected them and thus contributed to achieving a better Fa-study environment. In the end, the elderly practitioners who were illiterate could read the characters in Zhuan Falun, some of the new articles, Minghui Weekly, and other truth clarification materials.
A practitioner's husband was interfering with her cultivation, but she did not realize that he was helping her improve her cultivation. She looked within when facing problems with her husband and her cultivation improved, as well as her ability to talk to people about Falun Dafa.
Studying the Fa in a group environment improved our area's practitioners' ability to help people understand Falun Dafa. Our local practitioners did not do well in the past. Some treated themselves as everyday people; some did not attend the group Fa-study and studied the Fa alone at home.
We now understand that practitioners ought to awaken more people, fulfill their vow and carry out their mission. We achieved that through studying the Fa and communicating with other practitioners. We are doing well when talking to people about the practice.
Our environment got better and the result of our clarifying the truth was improving. One village official told me: “I will warn you if police want to make trouble for you.” The 610 Office staff attempted to take one practitioner in my village to a brainwashing class and was told that the person was not at home.
The officer who was assigned to check on practitioners in our village is no longer coming that much. One practitioner had asked him: “Do you need to obey the Constitution or Jiang Zemin’s order?” He kept quiet for a while and said he should obey the Constitution. The practitioner told him: “Your persecution of Falun Dafa is illegal according to the Chinese Constitution, which is this country's supreme law.” The policeman was speechless. He stopped persecuting practitioners. The village leader also understood the truth.
One practitioner wrote letters to many officials, including village officials, police officers and the chief of the police. He wrote of the economic persecution that he had encountered and the truth about Falun Dafa. The county mayor agreed wholeheartedly when a practitioner said: “Practitioners are all good people and who have better than average morals. Of course we obey the law. We have no conflicts.” The mayor responded: “yes, indeed.”
However, we have noticed a new problem coming about. Some practitioners developed the attachment to seeking a comfortable life, which is also my problem. I think we need to study the Fa more, cultivate ourselves better, treat others like we would ourselves, and do a better job of clarifying the truth about Falun Dafa.
