(Minghui.org) Police from Harbin arrested Falun Gong practitioners Ms. Ding Shuhui and Ms. Yu Caihua in November 2014. They also harassed three other female practitioners and one of their family members.

Ms. Ding and Ms. Yu Arrested

Ms. Ding and Ms. Yu were arrested on November 3, 2014, and police confiscated many of their personal belongings. Ms. Yu's husband and father-in-law were also arrested, but were released later that night.

Officers from the Acheng District Domestic Security Division interrogated Ms. Ding and Ms. Yu. Ms. Ding was handcuffed, interrogated for the entire night, and deprived of sleep. Both women are being held at the Harbin No. 2 Detention Center.

Ms. Ding's sister went to the detention center on November 5, but was not allowed to see her. The police ransacked Ms. Ding's home the next day.

Officers from the Acheng District Domestic Security Division reported the arrests to the Heilongjiang Province Public Security Bureau to “claim merit.” The bureau sent officers and reporters to videotape their “achievement” in arresting Ms. Ding and Ms. Yu.

This is the third time Ms. Ding has been arrested and detained since the Chinese Communist Party began persecuting Falun Gong in 1999. She was once sentenced to a seven-month prison term and severely tortured.

Other Practitioners and Their Family Members Harassed

Police officers and the deputy director of the Chengbei Police Station in the Acheng District broke into and ransacked Ms. Zhang Lanxiang's home at around 9:00 a.m. on November 9, 2014. Ms. Zhang was not home at the time.

The police also ransacked another female practitioner's home, and videotaped the whole event. They then monitored her home, which frightened her family. One of her 90-year-old family members became too scared to sleep.

Officers from the Domestic Security Division harassed a practitioner's daughter on November 12-13, 2014. They ransacked her home and the warehouse she rented, confiscating many items.

An arrest order was issued by the Harbin City Police Department, 610 Office, and Domestic Security Division.

Acheng District Domestic Security Division, the Jinshangjing Police Station, and the Zhanqian Police Station carried out the arrests and harassment of the practitioners.
