Europe: Tourists Quit the Chinese Communist Party During Chinese New Year

Feb. 11, 2014 |   By a Falun Gong practitioner in Europe

(Minghui.org) An increasing number of Chinese tourists are quitting the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations at tourist sites across Europe. From Nordic to central European countries, the rates of renouncing CCP membership have risen in recent years. In some locations, the number of people who choose to quit the Party exceeds 100 in just two hours.

Quitting the CCP allows Chinese people to disassociate themselves from the crimes committed by the communist regime, which is responsible for the deaths of more than 80 million Chinese people since coming to power in 1949.

The movement, initiated in 2004 with the publication of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party, has rapidly gained momentum. Over 155 million Chinese have renounced their affiliations with the Party and its associated youth leagues to date.

In addition to Chinese-speaking Falun Gong practitioners, many Western practitioners have joined the effort to help Chinese tourists with the withdrawals.

More Receptive to the Truth

Many Chinese tourists have been heavily influenced by the Chinese regime's vile propaganda that slanders Falun Gong and distorts the truth. Discussing current affairs with Falun Gong practitioners helps them see the inconsistencies between the regime's rants, and the facts of the situation, allowing them to objectively rethink their stances.

In a matter of a few hours, one Chinese tourist changed from refusing a copy of the Nine Commentaries to quitting the CCP. Seeing how key CCP officials have recently been placed under investigation or even convicted of corruption in court has also helped many tourists accept the truth about Falun Gong and no longer believe the regime's lies.

Young tourists often volunteer to persuade their friends to quit the CCP and even offer to distribute truth-clarification materials with information about Falun Gong to others.

“Quit the CCP” Certificate More Valuable Than Gold

Due to lack of financial security in China, many tourists seek to invest in gold or Swiss luxury watches to preserve their life-time earnings.

When they finish shopping, practitioners let them know that quitting the CCP and securing a safe future is more important than investing in gold and watches. Many of these tourists agree to quit the CCP, not willing to be associated with the Party that they believe is doomed to fail.

Chinese Tourist: “Master Li Is So Magnificent!”

One day, two tourists from Qingdao City passed by a practitioner. The older man asked, “What are you going to sell me?” The practitioner responded calmly, “I'm not selling anything. I am here to inform you of the truth so that you can stay safe.”

The practitioner continued, “While I paid for these truth-clarification materials, I'm offering them to you for free, so that you can learn the facts, make a choice between good and evil, and secure a good future. You can take the materials or not. It's up to you. It's the Chinese New Year holiday, yet we are standing here in the cold. We are doing this for you!”

As the men's facial expressions relaxed, the practitioner added, “You must know that there are a lot of unsafe factors in China. For example, the heavy pollution and the bird flu exist in China only. Why? It's because the CCP persecutes good people like Falun Gong practitioners and does not allow people to be good and kind. The Party will meet with retribution. If you end up being punished by heaven along with it, wouldn't it be a pity? Therefore, I'm promoting the truth so you can choose to be safe.”

Both men nodded to express their understanding and agreed to quit the CCP and its affiliated youth organizations, the Young Pioneers and the Youth League.

The same practitioner later saw the two men again. The older man told the other Chinese tourists, “They are students of Master Li Hongzhi! Master Li is so magnificent!”

Elementary Student: “The CCP Is Bad and Falun Gong Is Good!”

Upon quitting the CCP, some adults didn't think it was necessary for their children to quit the Young Pioneers or the Youth League. One parent said, “We don't have to do it for the boy. He doesn't know anything.”

The boy immediately responded, “How come I don't know? Of course, I know! I know Mao Zedong is bad, and the CCP is bad. I know Falun Gong is good!” He chose to quit the Young Pioneers and said he would not join the Youth League.

The boy's comments amused his parents and grandparents. All five quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations.
