Official from Inner Mongolia Arrested Practitioners Before the Chinese New Year

Feb. 18, 2014 |   By a Minghui correspondent from Inner Mongolia, China

(Minghui.org) While families were busy preparing to celebrate the Chinese New Year, chief Wang Bo, officer Xu Jing, and others from the Tongliao Domestic Security Division arrested Mr. Song Bingfu in his home and took him to the Hexi Detention Center on the afternoon of January 24, 2014.

They also attempted to arrest Ms. Zhou Baihong, but she was not home. They then deceived her family, saying that they were there to take Ms. Zhou to the police department to sign some documents. Ms. Zhou has had to stay away from her home to avoid being arrested.

Arrested and Fined a Year Ago

Mr. Song Bingfu; his wife, Ms. Zhang Ping; and Ms. Zhou Baihong were arrested by officers from the Domestic Security Division for distributing calendars with information about Falun Gong on January 1, 2013.

They were released on bail the next day after each one paid a "fine" of 3,000 yuan. However, officers still have not returned an electric power cart they confiscated to Mr. Song and his wife.

Mr. Song's wife, Ms. Zhang, was arrested for handing out Shen Yun Performing Arts DVDs to the public on August 22, 2013. She has been held in a detention center for over five months. With Mr. Song's recent arrest, their daughter, who isn't yet 13, is on her own.

Chief Wang Bo Active in the Persecution

Chief Wang Bo and officers from the Tongliao Domestic Security Division have actively persecuted local practitioners. They have harassed or persecuted almost every practitioner in Tongliao City, especially the Tian family.

Wang Bo read news reports on the Minghui website every day, hoping to find some information he could use to persecute practitioners. He showed off how many practitioners he had arrested, harassed, or monitored in his work report and used that to curry favor with his boss. Practitioners tirelessly explained the facts about Falun Gong to him and mailed him letters or called him, advising him to stop participating in the persecution. He knows the facts about Falun Gong better than most, but he shows no inclination to change his ways.

The Minghui website records all of Wang Bo and others' wrongdoings. According to a source within the police department, Wang Bo has not been indifferent those reports and accounts of retribution.
