(Minghui.org) Today's news from mainland China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 14 cities or counties in 9 provinces. According to this report, 20 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 8 practitioners were illegally arrested .

1. [Xiajin County, Shandong Province] Authorities Attempting to Sentence Mr. Zhang Shoufeng

Mr. Zhang Shoufeng was tried on February 25, 2014, but the case was adjourned. The court continued to hold a trial against him on March 4, 2014.

Police officers once broke into his home and confiscated approximately 2,000 yuan, a computer, a DVD player, and other personal items.

2. [Zhuozhou City, Hebei Province] Several Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Zhou Huiying and all her family members were arrested at home on the evening of February 25, 2014. Officers confiscated many personal items, including coins. She is still being held at the Zhuozhou City Police Department, but her family members were released.

Mr. Wang Yun and his wife Ms. Ma Fengxia were also arrested at home by about a dozen officers from the Dashiqiao Criminal Division in Zhuozhou City in the evening of February 25, 2014. Officers confiscated two computers, two printers, and a recorder. They were taken to the Dashiqiao Criminal Division. Ms. Ma was released at 3 a.m. the next morning, however Mr. Wang is still being held.

It was said that several practitioners including Mr. Shang Guanqing were also arrested that day.

3. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Qi Enxiang Detained

Ms. Qi Enxiang was arrested during the afternoon of January 13, 2014, and is being held at the Changchun No. 3 Detention Center.

4. [Kunshan City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Wang Chunrong Detained

Ms. Wang Chunrong was arrested on January 26, 2014, and is being held at the Kunshan Detention Center.

5. [Zhenping County, Henan Province] Mr. Chen Fengming Sent to Trial

Mr. Chen Fengming was taken to trial for her belief in Falun Gong on February 25, 2014. Further details are unknown at this point.

6. [Inner Mongolia] Ms. Zhou Liying Sentenced to a Three-Year Prison Term

Ms. Zhou Liying was sentenced to a three-year prison term by the Xinganmeng Court in Inner Mongolia on February 18, 2014. The judge had nothing to say, while her lawyer pleaded not guilty.

7. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Two Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Liu Gangli and Ms. Gao Yi were arrested on February 27, 2014. Officers confiscated a computer at Ms. Liu's home.

8. [Lengshuijiang City, Hunan Province] Mr. Li Shuping and Ms. Liu Xiaoling Harassed

Six unidentified persons went to Mr. Li Shuping's home on the morning of February 28, 2014. They kept on knocking his door until the afternoon. Mr. Li and his wife Ms. Liu Xiaoling were not at home that day.

9. [Linying County, Henan Province] Ms. Ma Yueqin Detained

Ms. Ma Yueqin was arrested by officers from the Linying County 610 Office and the Guxiang County Police Station on February 24, 2014. She is being held at the Luohe No. 2 Detention Center.

10. [Weihai City, Shandong Province] Ms.Tao Xueling Arrested

Ms.Tao Xueling was arrested by officers from a police station in Weihai City, Gao District on the morning of February 26. She had been reported for distributing Shen Yun Performing Arts DVDs by officers from the Xiao District Security Division.

11. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Wang Defa and Ms. Han Xinyan Sent to Trial

Mr. Wang Defa and Ms. Han Xinyan were tried on February 26, 2014. The details are uknown.

12. [Xian City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Xu Lanjiao's Home Ransacked

Ms. Xu Lanjiao's home was ransacked by officers from the Lianhu District Laodongnanru Police Station on the evening of February 14, 2014. Ms. Xu is 80 years old.

13. [Pingshan County, Hebei Province] Mr. Gao Baidan's Personal Items Confiscated

Officers, including An Zhijun and Zhang Huaming, from the Wangpo Village Police Station broke into Mr. Gao Baidan's home on the afternoon of February 28, 2014, and confiscated Falun Gong informational materials.

14. [Tonghua City, Jilin Province] Ms. Xu Yingjie in Critical Condition and Her Husband Imprisoned

Ms. Xu Yingjie was arrested by officers including Wang Yongqing from the Tonghua City Laozhan Police Station on December 22, 2013, when she distributed calendars containing information about the persecution of Falun Gong. She has been held at the Changliu Detention Center where she was tortured. When she was taken to the Zhongxin Hospital by prison officers on the morning of February 28, 2014 for a physical examination, she was unable to walk.

Ms. Xu and her husband Mr. Sui Yanzhang were arrested at home in 2007. She was later sentenced to a four-year prison term and released in 2010. Mr. Sui was sentenced to a seven-year prison term and is still being held at the Gongzhuling Prison.

15. [Shanghai] Nine Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Lu Lingxiu was being monitored on February 21, 2014, when she distributed information about the persecution of Falun Gong. Three officers from the Gumei Police Station in Minxing District went to Ms. Lu's home at noon on February 24, 2014.

Eight practitioners were at Ms. Lu's home studying Falun Gong teachings when the police arrived. All nine practitioners were arrested and taken to the Gumai Police Station. Those arrested, besides Ms. Lu, were as follows: Ms. Xie Aiqun, Ms. Wang Ye, Ms. Zhang Jixiu, Ms. He Pinqin, Ms. Zhang Jinwei, Ms. Shi Cuiying, Ms. Li Yan, and Ms. Shen Bilian. Officers ransacked Ms. Lu's home and confiscated a computer, printer, a picture of the founder of Falun Gong, Falun Gong books and informational materials.

Eight of them were taken to the Minxing District Detention Center in the early morning of February 25, 2014. They will be held for 15 days. Among them, Ms. Xie and Ms. Wang were released because of high blood pressure. Ms. Lu was taken to the Fengxian Detention Center.
