(Minghui.org) About 1,000 Falun Gong practitioners gathered at a park in Seoul on July 20, 2014, calling for an end to the persecution of Falun Gong in China that has lasted for 15 years. Ms. Liu, a tourist from China, was very impressed by the peaceful mediation scene, and said, “I have never seen anything like this before. It is so calm and compassionate. I was moved to tears.”
Practitioners who attended the event came from all over South Korea. In addition to a large-scale group exercise, and demonstration of torturing methods used on practitioners, they also held a rally to expose the brutal persecution.

Ms. Liu, from Dalian City, Liaoning Province, in northeast China, said, “My mother is a Falun Gong practitioner and she was arrested three times for her belief. Among them, the second one was the worst because it led to a three-year imprisonment.”
“My father was not a practitioner. He could not bear it any longer, so he divorced my mother.” She added with sadness, “My family was broken apart.”
Before she left, Ms. Liu took a photo of practitioners doing the exercises, “I will show this to my mother,” she said. “Many top officials involved in the persecution of Falun Gong have been arrested. The day may come soon for the persecution to stop.”

Practitioners talk to people about Falun Gong and the persecution.
Mr. Kim Shangxian, representing the North Korean Human Rights Center, said the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has distorted China’s culture. When the Tiananmen Square incident occurred in 1999, said Mr. Kim, the CCP had already demonstrated its brutality.
Mr. Kim Shangxian, representing the North Korean Human Rights Center, joined other speakers to condemn the persecution of practitioners in China.
“But such human rights violations are continuing as of now,” Mr. Kim said, “We have seen 510,000 Hong Kong residents who went out on the streets on July 1 to protest. It is Falun Gong practitioners—not the CCP—that represent 5,000 years of Chinese culture.”
Most groups would yield when being suppressed by the Communist Party, said Mr. Kim. “But Falun Gong practitioners did not. Their peacefulness and perseverance are truly remarkable. They really represent China’s spirit.”
Mr. Kim said that Jiang Zemin and other key perpetrators of the persecution should be held responsible for the brutal human rights violations. “It is sad that the persecution has been going on for 15 years. But today, we are here to support you, and we are proud of you—Falun Gong practitioners—being here in South Korea.”
Cui Youyuan, a professor in philosophy at Busan University, said that the CCP must be brought to justice because of its crimes against humanity, and Jiang Zemin should also be held responsible for his key role in this tragedy. “When that day arrives, it will mark a new beginning for China,” he said.
“The morality in China has been degenerating quickly. Falun Gong practitioners are the only hope for our future. However, inside China they have become victims of live organ harvesting. It is good to note that more and more people have paid attention to such severe brutality, making the CCP unable to cover its crimes any longer.”
“Any crimes against humanity will be punished by heaven,” Mr. Cui said, “The question is, how much longer will the brutality and lies continue before they come to an end?”
Mr. Wu Zhenrong, a democratic activist, was impressed by the large-scale group exercises. “We admire Falun Gong practitioners because they did not yield in front of the brutality. Rather than being defeated or intimated, they have introduced Falun Gong to more people in many countries. The past 15 years of persecution is actually 15 years of telling people the truth.

He reminded Chinese people, “We cannot remain blind in front of such human rights violations. We cannot ignore the brutality.”
When Corl, a senior military official, was walking past the park, he could not help but stop and watch, “It's amazing that the meditation is so beautiful and peaceful.” He said that he had read about Falun Gong in the past, and knew that it could calm one’s mind.
“Falun Gong is too good to miss. I will give it a try.” said Corl.
