More Than 20 Practitioners Arrested During Police Raids in Tonghua, Jilin Province

(Minghui.org) In a series of raids, the police station and 610 Office in Tonghua, Jilin Province illegally arrested over 20 Falun Gong practitioners and ransacked their homes. The arrests were carried out in a synchronized fashion with about 20 police officers at each event, which happened between 6:00 and 10:00 a.m. on September 2, 2014.

The 610 Office is an extralegal entity that the Chinese Communist Party established on June 10, 1999, to specialize in persecuting Falun Gong practitioners. The offices in various levels of the Chinese government have power over the public security and judicial systems to implement the nationwide persecution policy.

The arrested practitioners include Yang Benlin, Pang Zengde, Zhao Lihua, Pang Lin, Zhang Shuhua, Du Guolin, Li Xiuhong, Wang Shumei, Liu Yuhua, Li Zhanwu, Yaxian, Hou Qinghua, and Liu Xiaona.
