Queensland, Australia: Attending Local Experience Sharing Conference Brings Practitioners Opportunity for Solid Improvement

Sept. 2, 2014 |   By Minghui correspondent Chen Xinning

(Minghui.org) Attendees of the 2014 Falun Dafa Cultivation Experience Sharing Conference in Queensland, Australia said that they learned a lot from the sharing, saw the gaps in their cultivation and would put in additional efforts to do the three things well. The conference was held at the Sunnybank Community Hall in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.

Looking Inward

“Practitioners are very diligent. As I listen to their sharing, I looked inward as to what I could improve. I see some gaps. Their genuine heart for saving people is different than mine. I have been a little bit going through the motions as a result of force of habit. The difference is stark,” Betty from Gold Coast said.

Nina Smythe shared, “I think all the sharing was really good. I listened to every sentence they had to say and searched inward. I reflected on my own cultivation. The sharing provided me quite some references. I think this is the biggest benefit of sharing conferences. Master Li arranges the opportunities for each of us to improve in our cultivation.”

“What touched me most is the heart for solid cultivation, compassion for sentient beings, the sense of urgency to save people, and the righteous thoughts not to miss a single predestined person,” she added.

First Time Attendees

The 2014 Queensland conference was the first one that Anna Zhao attended after leaving China. “I burst into tears as soon as I entered the venue. I am so excited. I have not been able to attend any sharing conferences since the persecution in China began in 1999,” she said.

This conference was also Ziyin's first. She said that while she had heard of the persecution in China, she had just now heard first-hand accounts for the first time. She recalled that a practitioner shared that he would be expelled from the school if he said Falun Gong was good.

Mr. Huang, a veteran practitioner, acknowledged that he had slacked off a little bit and said that the sharing was a good reminder about what a Fa-rectification Dafa disciple should do at this time.

Andrea said that she was often in tears when listening to the sharing, “I told myself that I should let go of my attachment to comfort and cultivate solidly.”

“I thought of writing a sharing but didn't make it happen,” Linda Luo said that she learned from the sharing that she should be more diligent.
