(Minghui.org) I joined a small manufacturing factory as a technician in 2002. I have always followed the principles of Falun Dafa, and been considerate of others. I work hard and get along well with my boss and coworkers.
When I was chatting with my boss and his relatives at the office one day, I told them that I practiced Falun Dafa. They were shocked. I then said that Falun Gong practitioners followed the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, and try to be good people. It was the first time I had clarified the truth about Falun Dafa publicly in the factory.
From then on I paid more attention to my words and actions. I wanted to give them a good impression of Dafa practitioners.
The morning shift was from 7:30 a.m. to 11: 30 a.m., and lunch break overlapped with the time for sending forth righteous thoughts. I told my boss, “You go to lunch first. I need to meditate for a while. Don't delay your lunch because of me.” I didn't directly say I would send righteous thoughts, so that he would understand me. He said, “The food will be cold after you finish meditating.” I said that it was not a problem. My boss saw that I meditated every day, so he postponed the lunch break until after 12:20 p.m.
I often went out to deliver products with my boss, and took the opportunity to talk to him about Falun Dafa and tell him that people get rewards or retribution for their good or bad actions. One day, he said to me, “When I'm with you, I get nervous if I want to do something bad.”
After working with me for some time, my boss realized that Falun Dafa practitioners are reliable and honest. One day, he gave me the keys before he went out. He said, “You can handle the business. You can make decisions on delivery and payment. There is money in the drawer. You make the judgments.” His sister-in-law also works at the factory, but he hasn't entrusted her with such a responsibility.
Some customers wanted me to pack extra products when they saw I was alone in handling the business. They said they would give me money on the side. I always said no. A customer commented, “You don't own the factory. Why don't take advantage when you have the chance? Aren't you being foolish?” I replied, “I would betray my own conscience if I did that. I practice Falun Dafa. I couldn't bring myself to do that.”
There sometimes wasn't enough cash in the till to pay when a vendor came to deliver materials, so I wrote an I.O.U. The vendors asked if the note would be honored. I always told them not to worry. Some customers asked me if I was a relative of the boss. I told them that the boss trusted me because I practiced Falun Dafa. They were amazed that the boss would trust me in our money-driven society, where people treat each others as foe.
Many customers said to my boss, “You really have a good employee!”
One day when we went out to deliver products, my boss asked, “Did you take the things?” I knew he meant the Falun Dafa flyers and DVDs. I said yes. When we arrived, he took out the DVDs and gave them to the customer. He said, “I bring you good stuff today!”
I installed a satellite dish at the factory to receive New Tang Dynasty Television. When customers came in, my boss sometimes said, “You should watch some good programs!” I clarified the truth about Falun Dafa to almost of all the customers I contacted, and many of them quit the Chinese Communist Party and its affiliated organizations.
I know I still have many attachments. I will make more efforts to eliminate my attachments, finish our historic mission, and save more sentient beings.
