The Importance of Clarifying the Facts to Tour Guides

Jan. 29, 2015 |   By a practitioner from China

(Minghui.org) A fellow practitioner who had recently returned from Hong Kong told me a story about her visit.

She had seen local Hong Kong practitioners on one side, trying to clarify the facts to tourists from China. On the other side, she saw thugs hired by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) yelling slanderous phrases about Falun Dafa using a megaphone.

The tour guide said, “In Hong Kong, no matter how people yell at each other, as long as they don't get physical, they aren't breaking the law. If anyone breaks the law, the police arrest them.” He then sent the tourists off to shop.

Although the tour guide didn't say anything bad about Dafa, he didn't say anything positive either. This practitioner knew that the tour guide hadn't yet learned the facts about the persecution, so she took him aside and said:

“You want us spend to more money shopping, so you can earn a bigger commission. But do you know that to be truly wealthy, one must have virtue? If you help explain the facts about the persecution of Falun Gong to the tourists, and encourage them to quit the CCP so they can be saved, you will be doing a very good deed and accumulate a lot of virtue. The gods will reward you. Do you understand?”

Because time was tight, she didn't explain further, but the tour guide was clearly interested in what she told him.

I found what this practitioner did inspiring. I have always hoped that practitioners outside of China would clarify the facts to tour guides, because this is crucial to saving them. I know that practitioners have done a great deal with this.

Practitioners in China should also speak up. If we have the opportunity to travel abroad, we should boldly clarify the facts to our tour guides. Practitioners from China have a lot of experience doing this. We can touch people's hearts with just a few words.

Mainland practitioners and practitioners outside of China are one body. Whenever we have contact with tour guides, we should not pass by the opportunity to clarify the facts to them. We should speak to them rationally, with consideration for their attachments, in order to save them.

As we make efforts from multiple angles, the results will be better and better. When the tour guides learn the facts and then tell the tourists, it has a great impact. Of course, practitioners from China should pay attention to safety issues when clarifying the facts, even when they travel overseas.

This is just my own understanding that I wanted to share.
