(Minghui.org) Practitioner Amanda (name changed to protect those involved) told me what happened one day in the winter of 2013 while she was asking another villager Bill to withdraw from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). He did not agree, and even told Amanda that I had not been practicing well. He told her not to stay too close to me.

I then recalled my conflict with Bill when I first started to practice Falun Gong. He swindled 5,000 yuan of metal planks from me. I tried in vain to get my money back.

Because of that, I humiliated him in front of many people on one occasion. I might have lost virtue from that. Since then we have been at odds with each other.

I thanked Amanda for sharing this with me because I realized that Master might be using her words to remind me to raise my level on this issue.

On my way home, I thought about Master’s teaching, “In genuine cultivation practice one must cultivate one’s own heart and inner self. One should search inside oneself rather than outside.” (Lecture Nine, Zhuan Falun)

I thought that my resentment against Bill had been long gone, but it obviously was not. I have practiced Falun Gong for many years. I have never—not once—clarified the truth to him. I realized that this was an opportunity Master was giving me to resolve the former conflict benevolently.

I sent forth righteous thoughts to eliminate any evil beings behind him and clear away his misunderstanding of Dafa and practitioners, and then with a kind heart I visited him.

He smiled and welcomed me, holding my hands and saying good things about me. He said his wife also kept saying the same things. I was very moved because I knew Master had touched his compassionate side with my kind heart.

I clarified the truth about Dafa and encouraged him to quit the CCP. He happily agreed and said he would ask his children to quit as well. I told him to remember “Falun Dafa is good and Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.” He thanked me.

The conflict dating back several decades was thus resolved. I felt very relieved. Amanda heard about this and was very happy for us.

Master says, “Cultivation depends on one’s own efforts, while the transformation of gong is done by one’s master.” (Lecture One, Zhuan Falun)

Master arranged everything so well. All I needed to do was execute it.
