My Experience of Walking on a Path Embedded with Gold

Nov. 25, 2015 |   By Xing’er, a practitioner from China

(Minghui.org) It was a sunny day around Chinese Lunar New Year. A fellow practitioner invited me to her uncle’s home in the countryside to celebrate the New Year. We left early the next morning with a bag filled with truth-clarifying materials and some food.

For the past few years, we traveled to the countryside together to visit relatives. During the trip, we talked to people about Falun Dafa, and distributed Shen Yun DVDs and Dafa informational materials.

Our relatives live apart and it was a 4 to 5 hour trip to visit the entire village. We would go to my aunt’s place before visiting the practitioner's uncle. We would post the Dafa truth-clarifying slogans either on the electricity poles or the walls. When we met passersby or the villagers working out in the field, we gave them the Shen Yun DVDs or encouraged them to quit the CCP. When we arrived in a village, we would hang the Dafa materials on the windowsills or door knobs, then hurry back.

When we came to the end of the bridge near a river, I suggested that we take a shortcut by crossing the bridge. However, my fellow practitioner insisted on staying on the main road. I thought about timing the route with a stopwatch the next time.

I then stumbled onto a path embedded with gold. I wondered whether the gold sand were construction materials left from the road recently repaired. I wanted to grab some gold sand samples but the road was tarred. I asked the fellow practitioner to quickly come and see the golden road but she did not see anything special. I went to another spot to look at it from a different angle. I spotted something sparkling on the road, there were mineral agates of various patterns and colors, but I was the only one to see it.

“This morning when we started off, I had a fever. On our way here, my feet felt light. Whatever you saw, it is Master who is encouraging us,” my fellow practitioner told me.

Master, as a disciple, I did not do much, but you allowed me to witness something sacred. When we suffered a little bit, you gave us supreme glory. You enlightened us with boundless compassion. As long as we are righteous in our thoughts and actions, and as long as we make painstaking efforts and are diligent, what we walk on will be a golden shiny path.

I thought about drawing the scene, but it would not suffice. I share with fellow practitioners a true story and also my own understanding.
