Investigating Officers End Up Quitting the Communist Party

Nov. 26, 2015 |   By a practitioner in Shandong Province, China

(Minghui.org) Two police officers from Huangdao District, Qingdao City, came to my home on August 31, 2015. They said they received orders from their superior to investigate the lawsuit I filed against Jiang Zemin for persecuting Falun Dafa. However, in the end, they agreed with my stance and even decided to withdraw their memberships in the Chinese Communist Party.

They asked me a series of questions - when did I learn the practice, what have I gained from the practice, who have I contacted, have I appealed for the justice for Falun Dafa and been detained for it, why did I file a lawsuit against Jiang Zemin, what am I seeking from the lawsuit, and am I still practicing Falun Dafa.

One officer took notes, the other took a video recording.

I told them the reason I learned Falun Dafa was because for eight years I had suffered from many illnesses. After I started practicing Falun Dafa all of my illnesses disappeared and I have remained healthy for the past 18 years.

Falun Dafa not only cured my illnesses but also taught me how to be a good person. I am a good member of my family and society because I live by the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.

Although China's Constitution grants citizens the freedom of belief, Jiang Zemin, the former president, abused his power and utilized the Party and the law enforcement agencies to persecute Falun Dafa. I endured sixteen years of injustice and could not even file a grievance.

A new policy that came into effect on May 1, 2015 states that the Supreme People's Court will guarantee the registration and processing of all criminal and civil complaints. So why shouldn't I sue Jiang? I'm asking that the government restore Falun Dafa's reputation and allow us to practice freely.

Both officers had good attitudes and we had a nice congenial conversation. When I looked at their police certificates and numbers, one of them looked worried and asked me if I was going to report their information to the Minghui website. I said that as long as they did not persecute me then I would not contact Minghui with their information. He asked me if I would do anything in the future. I told him it depends on the situation, I would sue anyone who persecuted me. My goal is to live a normal life and practice Falun Dafa openly and freely. He said they were not persecuting me, they were merely fulfilling their duty of inquiry.

We chatted some more and I told them about Falun Dafa. I encouraged them to withdraw their memberships in the Chinese Communist Party. One of them declared his withdrawal from the Party. The other one quit the Party's Youth League, and said he would not join the Party. I could tell they really enjoyed hearing what I had to say, and commented that they would like to talk to me again sometime when they were off duty.
