People in Japan in Favor of Bringing Former Chinese Dictator to Justice

Nov. 28, 2015 |   By a Falun Gong practitioner in Japan

(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioners' non-stop peaceful efforts to raise awareness of the 16-year persecution, particularly the recent filing of lawsuits against former Chinese leader Jiang Zemin who initiated the persecution in 1999, have received worldwide support, especially in Asia.

In Japan alone, more than 45,000 signatures have been collected since July in support of the Falun Gong practitioners and their families in China who have filed criminal complaints against Jiang. Nearly 770,000 signatures have been collected in Asia as a whole, excluding China.

Signature drives are still being held across Japan. Falun Gong practitioners in Kumamoto recently went to Oita Prefecture, which is more than 200 km away, to raise awareness of the persecution of Falun Gong and collect signatures in support of the lawsuits against Jiang.

On the busy streets of Oita Prefecture, people sign to support bringing former Chinese dictator Jiang Zemin to justice.

Locals and tourists from other prefectures in Japan were quick to sign the petition when they learned how brutally a group of people who live by the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance are being persecuted.

They encouraged practitioners to keep up their efforts and wanted to help inform more people so that the persecution will end soon.

“Give me one more copy of that information. I'd like to my grandson, his wife, and my great-grandson too read about it,” said a 91-year-old woman after she signed the petition.

One woman was very upset to learn about the Chinese regime's state-sanctioned harvesting of organs from living Falun Gong practitioners. “Live organ harvesting? I can hardly believe what I'm hearing,” she said. “How can we allow such an unspeakable human rights' violation to go on?! Let's work together to put an end to it!”
