Plaintiffs in Lawsuit against Jiang Zemin Stand Up to Police Intimidation

Dec. 15, 2015 |   By a Falun Gong practitioner in China

(Minghui.org) Five officers from a certain area in Heilongjiang Province broke into the home of two practitioners on December 4, 2015. They asked the married couple if they practiced Falun Gong and then took them to the police station.

The officers showed them a copy of their lawsuit against Jiang Zemin (the former president who ordered the persecution) and asked if they wrote the letter, whether anybody directed them to do so, and where they printed it. They interrogated the couple for nearly two hours before sending them home.

Two days later, three officers from a certain town went to the couple's home. They claimed the information taken two days before was not submitted to their superior and asked the couple to go to the police station again.

The practitioners did not cooperate with this second attempt at intimidation. One of the officers said it would not take long to get the report done. The practitioners firmly stated that they were not going to the police station this time and asked them to leave. The officers persisted, saying they had to do their job.

Standing up for their legal rights, the practitioner then called the Supreme Procuratorate and put the call on speaker phone. One of the officers immediately called his superior and asked for further instruction. After hanging up the phone with his superior, the officers quickly left the practitioners' home.
