Mr. Shi Jiyu was arrested and taken to a detention center by officers, including Feng Jitang, from the Domestic Security Division of Maiji Police Department on November 4, 2015, for suing Jiang Zemin, the former Chinese dictator. He was later released because he was found to have high blood pressure while undergoing a physical examination.

Ms. Liu Xiying, 66, Ms. Yang Lifang, 70, and Ms. Gao Xiuyun, 75, were arrested by officers from the Gucheng Police Station on November 9, 2015, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. The police confiscated Falun Dafa symbols, cell phones, money containing information about Falun Gong, informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong, and other personal items. Ms. Yang and Ms. Gao were released that evening.

Ms. Liu’s daughters and son went to the police station for her release, but they were taken to Nongan County Police Department. Her younger daughter was released after being extorted 200 yuan. Ms. Liu and her elder daughter and son were detained at Nongan County Detention Center for 15, 5, and 5 days, respectively.
