Practitioners Subjected to Brutality at Shandong Women's Prison

Dec. 7, 2015 |   By a Minghui correspondent from Shandong Province, China

(Minghui.org) Six Falun Gong practitioners from Pingdu City, Shandong Province are currently held at the Shandong Women's Prison where they are being tortured and forced to watch programs that slander the practice. They also have to write “self-reflection reports” every day.

Below is information about three of the practitioners.

Ms. Wang Yuzhen was arrested on February 18, 2009, and later sentenced to eight years of imprisonment. She had a mental collapse as a result of being tortured at Shandong Women's Prison and suffers from incontinence.

Ms. Li Li, 43, was fired from her company before being taken to a mental hospital and held for four months. Prior to this, she had been held in a forced labor camp for two years and in a prison for four years.

Ms. Li was taken to Shandong Women's Prison in the winter of 2012 for an additional 4-year prison term. She has been locked in solitary confinement for the past three years because she refused to be transformed.

While detained, Ms. Li was force-fed, deprived of sleep, beaten, handcuffed with her arms behind her back and hung up, injected with unknown drugs, and forced to stand or sit for long periods of time.

Ms. Xu Guiyun, 57, from Ji Township, Pingdu Ciy, has been arrested many times for her belief. She was most recently arrested by Gaomi police officers in August 2014. She was illegally sentenced by the Gaomi Court and transferred to Shandong Women's Prison in the Spring of 2015, on charges of passing on information regarding Falun Gong to the public.
