(Minghui.org) Ms. Liu Chang'e, a retired bank employee in Jiangxi Province, was tried on January 29, 2015 for practicing Falun Gong.

When asked why the public was not allowed to attend the trial, the court cited phone calls “from above” emphasizing that it was an unusual case.

The hearing ended in less than half an hour. No verdict has been issued at the time of writing.

Ms. Liu, in her early 60s, was arrested at her home on October 10, 2014. Police seized her Falun Gong books and informational materials. She was held at a detention center for 30 days.
