(Minghui.org) Mr. Lu Yunfei, 45, a former refinery worker in Gansu Province, was illegally arrested at work by officers from the Chengguan Domestic Security Division on January 20, 2015. He is illegally detained at the Lanzhou City No. 3 Detention Center. The Chengguan Procuratorate submitted his case to the Chengguan Court on February 9, 2015.

The attorney that was hired by Mr. Lu’s family did not defend his constitutional right to his freedom of belief, but instead cooperated with the Gansu Province 610 Office and the Chengguan Court, Procuratorate, and Domestic Security Division. His family hired another attorney who is willing to plead not-guilty for him.

The new attorney met with Mr. Lu at the detention center on March 24, 2015, and submitted the letter of attorney to the Chengguan Court and accessed the case files. He also asked presiding judge Liu Dongyu about the trial date. Liu said that it was not scheduled yet.

In Fragile Health

Mr. Lu was arrested by officers from the Chengguan Domestic Security on March 9, 2014, for distributing Falun Dafa informational materials. He was later detained at the Lanzhou City No. 3 Detention Center.

He was sent to the Lanzhou No. 2 Hospital on April 18, 2014, after being rejected by the prison hospital due to his dire health situation. He was diagnosed with a stomach perforation. Because he was in critical condition and could not take care of himself, he was released on May 8, 2014. Nearly one year later, he still has not fully recovered.
