(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 18 cities or counties in 8 provinces. According to this report, 8 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 24 were illegally arrested.

1. [Jiyuan City, Henan Province] Mr. Lu Yankun Detained

Mr. Lu Yankun has been detained at the Jiyuan City Detention Center since he was arrested on January 5, 2015.

2. [Kenli County, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Chunyu Detained

Ms. Zhang Chunyu was arrested on May 30, 2015, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. She is detained in Dongying City.

3. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Chen Huaigen and Ms. Lai Guiying Detained

Mr. Chen Huaigen and Ms. Lai Guiying were arrested by officers from Tianfuxin District on the afternoon of June 3, 2015.

4. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Zhu Xiuying, Ms. Jiang Guiying, and Ms. Yang Chunyan were arrested by officers from the Nanguan District Police Department on April 24, 2015, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. Ms. Zhu and Ms. Jiang were released that day. Ms. Yang was released after being detained at the Weizigou Detention Center for 10 days.

5. [Huaiyuan County, Anhui Province] Ms. Duan Cailing Detained

Ms. Duan Cailing was arrested by officers from the Huaiyuan County 610 Office on May 28, 2015, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. She is detained at the Xincheng District Police Station.

6. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Huang Hongying and Ms. Yan Chunmei Detained

Ms. Huang Hongying and Ms. Yan Chunmei were arrested on June 3, 2015, for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. They are detained at the Wuhan City Women's Detention Center.

7. [Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Liu Shuzhen and Her Husband Arrested

Ms. Liu Shuzhen and her husband, in his 80s, were recently arrested. Her husband was later released but Ms. Liu is detained at the Qinhuai District Brainwashing Center.

8. [Jingxing County, Hebei Province] Mr. Li Changsheng Arrested

Mr. Li Changsheng was arrested by officers from the 6410 Police Station and the Weishui Police Station on the evening of May 11, 2015, for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. He was taken to that police station and the police made a report. He was later released after a blood sample was taken from him.

9. [Puyang City, Henan Province] Eight Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Zhou Xiulan and the following seven practitioners were arrested at her home on June 5, 2015, when they were reading Falun Gong books: Ms. Zhang Cuirong, Ms. Li, Ms. Zhang Guizhen, Ms. Su Fengying, Ms. Ding Jiai, Ms. Yan Yuemei, and Ms. Zhou Guilan. Ms. Zhang Cuirong, Ms. Li, and Ms. Zhang Guizhen were released.

10. [Shuangliu County, Sichuan Province] Mr. Li Changgui Persecuted

Mr. Li Changgui's home was ransacked on May 29, 2015. The police confiscated paper currencies and materials which had information about the persecution of Falun Gong and Falun Gong books.

11. [Shulan City, Jilin Province] Ms. Mao Yaqin and Ms. Hua Benqin Detained

Ms. Mao Yaqin and Ms. Hua Benqin were arrested by officers from the Shuiquliu Town Police Station and the Liudao Village Sub-District Office on June 3, 2015. They are detained at the Xiaying Village Brainwashing Center in Xiaocheng Town, Shulan City.

12. [Nongan County, Jilin Province] Ms. Xia Shulan Arrested

Ms. Xia Shulan was arrested by officers from the Baota Police Station on June 4, 2015, for hanging up informational banners about the persecution of Falun Gong.

13. [Xingtang County, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhou Shuqin Persecuted to Death

Ms. Zhou Shuqin, 80, was persecuted to death on March 20, 2014. Her home was ransacked in 2013 and the police arrested her son, daughter-in-law, and oldest daughter. The police harassed her several times during the CCP's two sessions in March 2014.

14. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhang Guimin Sentenced

Ms. Zhang Guimin, 67, sentenced to an eight-year prison term, was taken to Shenyang Prison on June 9, 2015.

15. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Shu Yu Deprived of Family Visits

Ms. Shu Yu, detained at the Liaoning Women's Prison, was deprived of family visits.

16. [Zhaoyuan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Yuan Xijing and Her Son Mr. Li Gang Arrested

Ms. Yuan Xijing and her son Mr. Li Gang were arrested by officers from the Zhangxin Town Police Station on May 28, 2015. They were taken to that police station. The police confiscated 2,900 yuan and three cell phones. Mr. Li was handcuffed to an iron chair for more than an hour and Ms. Yuan was detained about seven or eight hours. They were released that evening.

17. [Lingyuan City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhou Yafang Facing Trial

Ms. Zhou Yafang was arrested by officers including Chen Zhi from the Domestic Security Division on November 13, 2014, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. She was detained at the Xidayingzi Detention Center in Chaoyang City where she was beaten by officers. Her case was submitted to the Lingyuan City Court.

Mr. Wu Ruiting, 75, and his wife Ms. Zhu Ruimin, 74, were each sentenced to a four-year prison term by the Xishi District Court on June 3, 2015. They appealed on the spot after the sentences.
