(Minghui.org) At least 116 people currently residing in Korea have filed criminal complaints against Jiang Zemin, the former head of the Chinese Communist regime responsible for launching the persecution of Falun Gong. The legal action was announced by the Korean Falun Dafa Association at a press conference outside the Chinese Embassy in Seoul on the afternoon of July 13, 2015.
The complaints were mailed to the Supreme People's Court of China and the Supreme People's Procuratorate of China.
Rally and press conference outside the Chinese Embassy in Seoul to publicize the recent filing of criminal complaints against Jiang Zemin by 116 Falun Gong practitioners residing in Korea.
As of July 11, 2015, more than 60,000 Falun Gong practitioners in China and 21 other countries have filed lawsuits against Jiang since May, for violating China's Constitution and single-handedly ordering the unlawful persecution of Falun Gong.

Dr. Choi Woo-Won, Co-President of the Asian Philosophical Association and a professor at Pusan National University, spoke at the rally. He said that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is barbaric as it has sanctioned the forced organ harvesting of living prisoners of conscience, the majority of whom are Falun Gong practitioners.
“This is an unprecedented crime in human history,” said Dr. Choi. “This crime can be squarely put at the former Chinese Communist Party leader Jiang Zemin's doorstep. Not only China's, but also Korea and the world's populace must sue this evil culprit.”
Ms. Piao, a former kindergarten teacher
Several dozen practitioners who have mailed their complaints to Beijing participated in the rally and press conference.
Among these practitioners, Ms. Piao, a former kindergarten teacher, displayed a copy of the letter she mailed to the Supreme People's Court of China.
Ms. Piao was arrested and sentenced to forced labor four times since the onset of the persecution. Police officers knocked at her door at midnight, pretending to look for a relative of hers. After she opened the door, she was arrested under the false charge of starting a “mob riot.” When she demanded to know how a person asleep at home could be responsible for a “mob riot,” the police said that they could come up with any reason for her arrest.
Ms. Piao was taken to the Jiutai Forced Labor Camp where she was subjected to the torture of long-term sleep deprivation.
In the Tiebei Detention Center, Ms. Piao was forced to labor for long hours in an unhealthy environment. She developed scabies due to the intense work and deplorable living and work conditions.
Ms. Yu Manqin shows the confirmation for mailing her complaint against Jiang
Ms. Yu Manqin, a former owner of a garment factory, suffered severe economic and emotional loss because of the persecution. She was forced to sell the factory at a price far below market value because the authorities had issued a warrant for her arrest and planned to confiscate her factory.
After Ms. Yu was able to escape to the safety of South Korea, the Chinese authorities issued a “fugitive arrest warrant” for her. The warrant has prevented Ms. Yu's return to China, even when her mother was dying.
Ms. Gao Chengnu speaks at the rally.
Ms. Gao Chengnu, wife of a Korean citizen, was sentenced to one year of forced labor in May 2004. She was tortured at the labor camp, which included beatings, being handcuffed to an iron bed and brutal forced-feedings.
More than 240,000 Korean citizens signed a petition and 24 Members of the Parliament of Korea wrote to Hu Jintao, then President of China, calling for her release. A total of 73 local governments and organizations passed resolutions that demanded that Ms. Gao be released by the Chinese authorities.
Due to pressure from Korea, Ms. Gao was released from the Jiamusi Forced Labor Camp on May 13, 2005.
The Korean Falun Dafa Association stated that it supports the tens of thousands of Chinese practitioners who have filed criminal complaints against Jiang Zemin and will continue to work to bring Jiang to justice.
In 1999, Jiang Zemin, as head of the Chinese Communist Party, overrode other Politburo standing committee members and launched the violent suppression of Falun Gong.
The persecution has led to the deaths of thousands of Falun Gong practitioners over the past 16 years. More have been tortured for their belief and even killed for their organs. Jiang Zemin is directly responsible for the inception and continuation of the brutal persecution.
Under his personal direction, the Chinese Communist Party established an extralegal security organ, the “610 Office,” on June 10, 1999. The organization overrides police forces and the judicial system in carrying out Jiang's directive regarding Falun Gong: to ruin their reputations, cut off their financial resources, and destroy them physically.
Chinese law now allows for citizens to be plaintiffs in criminal cases, and many practitioners are exercising that right to file criminal complaints against the former dictator.
