Ms. Ting's Family Files Complaint Against Officer for Illegally Trespassing

July 4, 2015 |   By a Minghui correspondent from Guizhou Province, China

(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Ting Yonghui has been on a hunger strike since being illegally arrested on April 23, 2015. She is now in critical condition.

Ms. Ting is 49, and from Qiannanzhou in Guizhou Province.

Three days after the arrest, Xiao Tao, head of the Guiding County Domestic Security Division, broke into her home.

Ms. Ting’s family has filed a complaint with the Guiding County Police Department Commission and Guiding County Procuratorate against Xiao for illegally trespassing.

This violates Article 39 of China's Constitution, which states: “The residences of citizens of the People’s Republic of China are inviolable. Unlawful search of, or intrusion into, a citizen’s residence is prohibited.”

Unlawful Entry in to Ms. Ting's Home

Xiao took Ms. Ting’s house key and entered her home with two other officers at around midnight on April 26. They placed many items around her home and then took photos of them to use as “evidence.”

Ms. Ting’s neighbors, frightened by the trespassing, told her family about it. Xiao later admitted that he did it.

Xiao Tao Arrests Other Practitioners

Xiao Tao led officers to secretly arrest Ms. Zhang Peizhi, 63; Mr. Zhang Peigang, 58; and Mr. Chen Junsheng, 43, the same day.

These arrests were organized by the Qiannanzhou 610 Office, and participants included officers from the local 610 Office and staff from the practitioners’ workplaces and local residence committees.

Written notices were issued to the practitioners’ workplaces and their families 28 hours and 32 hours later, respectively.
