Examining My Fear of Suing Jiang Zemin

July 8, 2015 |   By a practitioner in Shenyang City, China

(Minghui.org) The lawsuits against former Chinese leader Jiang Zemin have caught the attention of all practitioners. It has also caused me to examine my life and cultivation journey.

Once I finished writing my criminal complaint against Jiang, I was able to identify and let go of my fear. What a wonderful process it was!

Master said,

“Fear can cause one to make mistakes, and fear can cause one to lose a predestined opportunity. Fear is a death trap on a human being’s journey toward divinity.” (“Pass the Deadly Test” in The Essentials of Diligent Progress Vol. III)

At our group Fa-study, I realized it was not just me, but also many fellow practitioners, who were also afraid. When we talked about it openly, we came to realize this fear was hidden behind excuses. One practitioner said he did not want his spouse to know what was going on, and another said that she wanted to protect the Fa-study environment, which led her to become hesitant to use her own mailing address.

Others, too, said they did not want to involve their spouses.

We came to realize that these excuses were ridiculous, and that we must let go of the attachment to fear. Our local practitioners are now working to get rid of the exposed fear and initiate lawsuits against Jiang. In the process we have gained a better understanding of Chinese law, and we have come to know more clearly the crimes committed by those participating in the persecution of Falun Gong.

Lawsuits against Jiang Zemin is a manifestation of Dafa disciples' compassion: The purpose is to help people understand Falun Gong and the persecution, and to awaken more people.
