(Minghui.org) Sixteen people spoke at the 2015 Falun Dafa Experience Sharing Conference held on August 16 in Melbourne, Australia. They spoke about how they cultivated their character in various social circumstances, told others about Falun dafa, and witnessed the power of Falun Dafa.
A Falun Dafa Experience Sharing Conference was held on August 16, 2015 in Melbourne, Australia.
Ms. Luo, a coordinator of a news media project for the past two years, experienced struggles, success, frustration, and finally improvement in xinxing. “Some of the challenges we faced early on included not having enough people, high turnover, and most importantly, barriers between one another.” She said it was their faith in Dafa and its founder, Master Li Hongzhi, that enabled them move forward despite difficulty. The newspaper is now more financially stable and “thus able to play a more important role in telling the facts to the Chinese community, who are otherwise heavily influenced by the Chinese communist regime's propaganda.”
“One time, our best sales rep told me that she would resign,” she recalled. Facing pressure, Ms. Luo looked inward and let go of her complaints, agitation, and strong ego. As her xinxing improved, that sales representative decided to stay. The entire sales team also gained confidence and more trust among one another.
More changes also followed: some hesitant customers contacted them for follow-up discussions, and new customers came in upon recommendation by existing customers. Seeing the increase in team performance, Ms. Luo realized that “as long as we continually look within and improve our xinxing, we will be able to overcome difficulty. In other words, breakthroughs come from our faith and determination.”
Jason, a full-time employee of the Epoch Times, comes from an art editor background. “My idea is simple—the Epoch Times is a newspaper that tells people the truth, and my job is to help the newspaper to be financially stable.”
He says because of the his pure heart, Master Li helped him overcome various challenges as a new sales rep: having no customers, limited experience with the sales process, and poor language skills. He quickly made breakthroughs and signed contracts of over $17,000 in his second month.

“We must have faith in Master and Dafa,” Jason said. “The process of reaching new contracts is an opportunity for us sales reps to tell them the facts.” As he told others about Falun Dafa and the persecution of the meditation practice by the Chinese Communist regime, people agreed to work with the newspaper and gained a deeper understanding of Falun Dafa.
For Helena, who started to practice Falun Dafa in 2006, the past nine years made her aware of many of her attachments: strong ego, looking down upon others, and lack of compassion towards others. “Once you let go of such attachments and human notions, you would feel less stress and the joy of open-mindedness.”

With these changes, she also learned to be grateful and remain humble when encountering conflicts. With respect and appreciation towards other practitioners, her mind became more pure, and the positive energy greatly strengthened their teamwork as a whole. “It is the compassionate care from Master that makes us practitioners indestructible and help us work together without barriers.”
Daniel, who learned Falun Dafa in March 2005, wanted to read Master Li's lectures in Chinese. His sincerity and pure heart brought miracles: after learning in a language school for 10 months, he is now able to read the book Zhuan Falun in Chinese, understand Master Li's recorded lectures, and share his understandings in Chinese at the conference.
Many practitioners said they learned a lot from the experience-sharing conference.
Janet, who came from China six months ago, said this was her first conference in Melbourne. “For problems other practitioners have talked about, I found they also existed in me, including many I was unaware of in the past,” she reflected. Hearing and seeing other practitioner making progress through looking inward and sharing their experiences openly, Janet realized that she could also make a leap forward in her cultivation.
Ms. Zhu from Shanghai said the overseas cultivation environment can expose her attachments that had been deeply buried. “Recently, my cultivation become constrained—I knew something was not right, but I couldn't find a solution. Even looking inward couldn't help me find what my fundamental attachment was.” She says the sharing today, from new and veteran practitioners alike, opened her mind and motivated her to do better.
