Seven Falun Gong Practitioners Arrested in Xi'an, Shaanxi Province

(Minghui.org) The Xi'an Political and Legal Affairs Committee coordinated with the city's 610 Office and several police departments to arrest seven Falun Gong practitioners on July 4, 2015. The practitioners are now in the Xi'an No. 1 Detention Center in Sanyaocun, the Yanta District.

The detained practitioners are: Mr. Gao Xiaoke, Wang Xiuxia, Ms. Han Qiuli, Mr. Liu Weidong, Ms. Liang Rong, Mr. Su Shaohua, and Ms. Duan Xiaoyan.

Officers from Tangyanlu Police Station broke into Mr. Su's home and his wife's store at around 5 p.m. They took two computers, several other pieces of equipment, and portable hard drives. The parents and two children were taken to Tangyanlu Police Station. Mr. Su's wife and children were later released.

The police also broke into Mr. Liu's home and confiscated his Falun Gong books and other personal belongings before taking him to Tangyan Road Police Station.

That evening, Mr. Gao from Shenmu County was arrested outside his apartment building.

Tangyanlu Police Station officers broke into Ms. Han's home at around 10:30 p.m. on July 4. They took her computer, two printers, over 200 CDs, and other items. Ms. Han was taken to Tangyanlu Police Station.

In the same evening, Chang'an District police arrested Ms. Liang in Yan'an City. Ms. Liang, in her 70s, is a retired cadre of the Yan'an Municipal Grain Bureau and lives in Xi'an in a rented apartment.
