Practitioners and Family Members in Qian'an City Pressured for Suing Jiang Zemin

(Minghui.org) Twenty Falun Gong practitioners in Qian'an City were recently harassed and some were arrested. The authorities targeted the practitioners because they had filed criminal complaints against Jiang Zemin, the former head of the Chinese regime who initiated the ongoing persecution of Falun Gong. Four of the practitioners were briefly detained.

Mr. Song Naiwen Arrested and Detained Three Times

Mr. Song Naiwen was arrested by officers from the Dacuizhuang Police Station for talking to people about Falun Gong and the mass filings against Jiang in a marketplace in July 2015. He was detained for a few hours.

Mr. Song was arrested again by officers from the Yanjiadian Town Police Station in the Ligudian Open Air Market on August 26 and was detained for over three hours.

He was arrested a third time by the Qian'an City Domestic Security police on August 29 at another practitioner's home. The police questioned him in detail about his complaint against Jiang and then released him.

Two Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Guo Xiuying, was arrested by officers from the Jianchangying Police Station on the afternoon of August 29 at a practitioner's home. The police then went to her home and ransacked it. She was released around 6:00 p.m.

Ms. Gao Xiuxia, was also arrested by officers and released.

5,000 Yuan Extorted from Mr. Tian Xiuli

Mr. Tian Xiuli was harassed at home by the Qian'an City Domestic Security police, the Dacuizhuang Town Police Station officers and village officials. The police ransacked his home and arrested him.

He was detained at the Qian'an City Domestic Security Division until midnight.

Officials demanded that he sign a guarantee statement that he would renounce Falun Gong. They also extorted 5,000 yuan from him.

Six Practitioners Harassed for Suing Jiang

Mr. Wang Liwen and Ms Liu Guilan were questioned by two village officials on August 20, 2015 for suing Jiang.

Qian'an Town officials told Ms. Cai Guiqin on August 20, that members of upper-level authorities demanded that they be taken to her home.

Ms. Pang Na was questioned by upper level authorities on August 20.

Mr. Yang Yinfu and Ms. Jia Guiling, husband and wife, were questioned by local village officials on August 29 because they had submitted a criminal complaint against Jiang.

Family Members Questioned

Ms. Liu Youxia's family members were questioned by high-ranking members of the local authorities on August 20. Ms. Liu was not at home at the time.

Ms. Li Yanqing's family members were questioned by village officials about suing Jiang on August 26.

Ms. Li Xiuhua's family members were questioned by village officials on August 26.

Ms. Zhang Hong's sister-in-law was questioned by officials on August 26 regarding Ms. Zhang's lawsuit against Jiang.

Ms. Wan Yonghong's husband was questioned by agents of the local Chinese Communist Party (CCP) Political and Legal Affairs Committee on August 12. The officials showed her husband her criminal complaint against Jiang.

Ms. Si Fengmin's husband was notified by his work place that Ms. Si had filed a complaint against Jiang.

Four Practitioners and One Family Member Harassed

Ms. Peng Shucai was harassed by Sangangwan Village officials on August 7. The officials claimed that the Zhaodianzi Town Comprehensive Management Office ordered them to obtain a statement from Ms. Peng that promises to stop practicing Falun Gong.

Officers from the Yanggezhuang Police Station went to Ms. Dai Xiuyun's home on August 18, but she was not there. The police then went to her sister's home to question her about the whereabouts of Ms. Dai. They returned on August 29 and demanded that she tell them the whereabouts of her sister. Ms. Dai could not return home.

Ms. Ma Minhua was recently harassed by Jiangzhuang Village officials.

Ms. Ma Yuxiang, was harassed by Xinzhai Village officials on August 29. She refused to open the door.
