Pressuring Someone to Give Up Falun Gong Is Unconscionable

Jan. 15, 2016

(Minghui.org) When a person goes to the hospital for treatment, nobody would stop the person from returning there, saying something like, “You can't have anymore treatment.” Hospitals can cure some diseases, but many people die there too, because modern medicine is still quite limited.

When Falun Gong first spread in China in the early 1990's, many people who were deemed hopeless by doctors gained new life from practicing Falun Gong. Seven years after Master Li Hongzhi introduced Falun Gong to the public, about 100 million people took up the practice.

However, in the persecution of Falun Gong, policemen have tried to force practitioners to give up the practice. They say things like, “Don't practice anymore!” If you comply, you will be sent home, and if you refuse, you will go to jail. Many practitioners' family members, out of fear, also urge practitioners to give up Falun Gong.

I hope that those who try to force practitioners to stop cultivating, using either physical or verbal abuse, will wake up soon.

Keeping someone from practicing Falun Gong is equivalent to depriving them of medical treatment. Those who really know what Falun Gong is about would never tell practitioners to quit. They know how one can benefit from Falun Gong and that the principles of Falun Gong benefit society. If a practitioner cultivates diligently, he or she will have stronger ability to help others.
